I think I am not the only one noticed this, like everything were down to 1 division.
My friends who are onyx for 2 seasons are now diamonds, I reached diamond 3
in slayer season 2 but lost so many times so I was down to diamond 1, and yet was
placed gold 6 this season 3. I tried to get plat 1 so i would be at good matchmaking
at least.
Did they just increase the requirements to get higher division?
I’m not sure, but I haven’t noticed. Last season I was ranked plat 3 for slayer then I worked my way up to diamond. Same thing happened this season, so no change for me.

Thats what I’m talking about, you finished diamond on season 2, yet placed 1 division lower this season.
Now I am platinum 1 and getting mid-high gold players, and guess what I am murdering them in slayer.
How justifiable is this ranking system then for them?
It’s intentional. I don’t really know why it’s intentional, but it is.
Yeah they changed the system, most people are ranking lower then normal.
It’s no change, the exact same thing happened to me last season. In January I qualified in Platinum, fought my way up to Diamond 3. Then in February I qualified in Gold 6, fought my way back up to Diamond. This time - Gold 6! Why?? It’s pointless, and the ranking system is truly broken.
Just to illustrate how broken it is - I was still playing against unranked players at the end of the month! So there’s tons of unranked players all the time, yet they get to fight against Golds, Platinums and Diamonds… that’s not fair! I don’t want to play unranked players as they could be any skill level. I gain nothing if I beat them, and lose tons of CSR if I lose. The system is screwed up.
I haven’t notice, I’ve been consistently placed in onyx just about every season
