The Reclaimer Saga was heading in an awesome amazing, great way. The librarian gives Dr halsey 2 peices that fit together and then create a holographic image of ALL FORERUNNER TECHNOLOGY IN THE WHOLE GALAXY. Can u guys friken believe it?
Jul steals one peice and I’m the end Dr halsey gives the other peice to the UNSC. Also at the very end Dr halsey specifically says "That’s easy Jul, I want revrevenge."
Can you guys picture Spartan ops 2, master Chief fighting his way to rescue Dr halsey and even maybe defend her from the UNSC trying to execute her.
This was heading in an AWESOME way. But no Jul is killed in the first mission, Dr halsey is like friends with Palmer and everyone, campaign was…bad, and oh yeah guys: Osiris saves the day!
But what happened to the Janus Key? 343 specifically said Halo 5 was there “big” game and a makeup. A lot of things should of been done differently.

They backed down, reversed course, or just plain decided not to integrate that lore into Halo 5.
Maybe someone in 343 thought that using Cortana as a villian for shock value (and some alleged nuance in said plot point based in a tired trope) was better than what he was building towards.

It was heading in a great direction. People had so many theories.
Dr halsey actually wanting revenge on Palmer, or the UNSC. Like the UNSC had its final straw and just wanted to execute halsey. But no now there walking around with halsey like nothing happened.
If I were Chief I wouldn’t take no -Yoink- she’s my damn mom lol!
