@12:49am, EST, 1/13/2012, I was playing with my friends and noticed our services tags wasn’t showing and our armor effects (legendary flame/blue flame/birthday party) wasn’t either. Then the match was over and we didn’t get credited for our match due to it saying that the Credits are Offline. Then i go to check the challenges and there isn’t none. Is anyone else having this problem? And is this a update or a server issue?
I dunno, same thing happened to me, eventually turned my box off and on again and things were back to normal though something had gone from Moderate to Closed; I dunno ~-~ Annoyed I lsot commendation progress in my match though.

Well we was walking around without our service tags and not armor effects and when we get done we can be credited due to it being offline and then we look at the challenges and they was disabled. Plus it set our ranks to recruit and armor back to default so i was like what the world but there was other friends that hasn’t taken effect maybe it was a outage in the servers?
does anyone know what/why it happened?
maybe its due to the updates they are doing with the servers is my best bet or maybe they had one go down just for a lil bit but my friends are EST like me and they are like 4 states away so maybe they are doing different timezone updates and clearing the bugs out of the system.
This means there is server maintenance currently in progress and while it may be minor, your armor, emblem, rank, etc. show up as default/Recruit. While you still have all your items, cR, and settings, the game won’t be able to access them until the maintenance is over.
This process of temporarily disabling these features drastically reduces server strain and makes the maintenance mush easier to perform. Occasionally you will meet an unaffected player. This just means the server maintenance either doesn’t affect their region or that it is already completed in said region.
This event happens on rare occasion but it is not a reset and will not affect your overall statistics (with Commendations as an exception apparently).

Thanks, I know it wasn’t something to take away all the cR or my stuff. but i was just wondering if it was down. I understand now what you are talking about. My friends was in the EST timezone as me and they was having the same problems but the people that we was facing must have been at a different region like you said. I haven’t played since then. Thanks again for your help. I was just kinda shocked and wondered why everything just kinda disappeared because this is a rare moment for me to play without my armor abilities and stuff and not getting cR for out match was odd because it said it was offline but i do understand the reasoning now. Thanks Carange for following up and giving me your info on this subject.
