This thing was a killing machine in Halo 4 and while it needed a nerf I dont think it needed this drastic of one. I mean it feels like a carbon copy of the human rifle now. I thought its unique spin was that it was snapshot friendly but you were punished if you missed a shot.

I suppose but that thing was a one shot kill cold turkey so in all honesty its still probably better at killing than the sniper rifle which is a two shot if youre even slightly off your aim
343i improved it.
I agree, the Beam Rifle has been my favorite sniper since Halo 2 and now I just can’t seem to have any luck with it. Also I know what you mean coll9502 I find it very frustrating to use now, just can’t quite seem to get the full effect of a single shot out of one.

Definitely. As far as zoomed in goes it feels pretty much the same but its snapshotability is absolutely gone now. I mean it had its own gametype because of its usefulness as a snapshotter

yea WAS I don’t think it is now
It’s a really weird weapon in this game… On one hand I find it easier to land body shots with than the normal Sniper, but I almost never get headshots with it.

Ive only ever gotten one and it felt awkward, I see what youre saying
the difference it was supposed to have to the human rifle is you can fire a second time much faster then the regular sniper rifle. making it so if you BARELY missed, you can just tap the trigger again to get the kill, at the cost of overheating. the other upside was not having to reload if you were good with it. the beam rifle was never supposed to be snapshot friendly, someone just messed up when designing halo 4’s version of the weapon.
I just don’t like the new design 343 made with it. It reminds me too much of the focus rifle now.

Very true, it just needs to shoot lasers now
There is an actual learning curve now, it’s crazy, but you actually have to practice your clutch snapshots
