343 Please make some changes! Under armour looks pants.
> Yeah. That is really terrible design choice. Black under armor looks so much better and less toyish. Master Chief got it right though, but why not Spartan IVs? :I
I’ve never understood why in the Halo games you couldn’t have Chiefs green colour, or the exact armour combinations in Reach, in 4 Chiefs colour and armour and the black under armour, which Chief and Palmer have

I really don’t know. As this render exists, it makes me wonder if there was originally going to be an option to customise this. But they couldn’t make it work/ran out of time.
That does look very good, but I’m also happy with the armour we have now.
I kind of like the bulky looking armour on top of the sleek black ninja-style armour.
Ninja tanks, pretty much what a spartan is.
Yeah, the all-black bodysuit shouldn’t have been changed. It looked great as one single color.
As for changing it via update, it may be possible, who knows? If the male/female undersuits are handled as separate models from the rest of the armor, it’s possible they could change it without it inevitably glitching the rest of the armor.
Also I agree on the colors being too light and washed out.
They need to be quite a bit darker and richer imo.
Wow, those Spartan models look a lot better with black body-suits. Not to mention how the colors for the Spartan armor in Halo 4 look terrible! They all look watered down.

I totally disagree. Black underarmor was one of the limper points of the old spartan’s design. “Hey,” says Bungie “There could be something cool going on here, but let’s just black it out so that we can put ALL the emphasis on the bits of metal haphazardly glued to your ninja-PJ’s. Boy what visionaries we are to reduce you to a junk-yard power ranger.”
Anyway I’ll put my vote in for the new stuff. I know I’m alone in this but it’s an issue of the utmost importance to the community and all viewpoints must be heard!

I agree. I’ve always wondered why we cant just choose the design and color of each piece of armor. That would look so badass! I hope that they do that with the next-gen consoles.

An option to control the under armor colors would have been awesome! It would allow for more customization and make the armor pieces bolder.
Also we need some bolder colors as well, the current pastel has been washed out too much.
Being a Gunpla fan I understand better than most how much colour separation changes our perception of things.
I honestly don’t understand why on earth the black under suits were removed but it’s one of the few things I feel is wrong with this game, visually at least.

Rainbow Six Vegas did that six years ago (plus custom camo patterns and it was great!) It wouldn’t take a new console, just a more ambitious development strategy than to just one-up the last thing we/Bungie did.
