now i don’t use a mic in matchmaking so don’t blame quiet people for this or party chat.
back in halo 3 everyone worked together regardless of whether they had a mic or not, if you died, you spawned on your team most of the time, halo 4 removed all this with random spawning and lack of map control, but thats not enough of an excuse, players should try their best to work together and not lone wolf, this is the main flaw in halo 4 in my eyes and the spawning definitely doesn’t help. i miss the days where everyone teamed up in an elephant on sandtrap…
I feel your pain. Only thing to do is play with a party of friends. None of my friends play this game anymore, however, so Im forced to forever play alone.

343I seemed to have a focus on allowing you to be a lonewolf of sorts through all the one -Yoink- kill weapons and movement speed… But at the end of the day you lose if you dont play as a team.
I absolutely agree, I even communicate to team mates that dont have mics and everyone once in awhile Ill get a guy who gets those clean up kills because they listened. But seriously it helps to have a mic…
On top of that, if you think your a great player or something and talk smack, please play another game. I hate the immature individuals who talk smack, even to their own team mates. It completely defeats the purpose of working together to win.
If your own of those “Im the greatest in the world” individuals, your only as good as your team, I could care less if you go 40-5 if my team is first to 60 kills. I win you lose, thats all I and most other team work oriented people care about.
Teamplay is a very broad term considering that there’s more than one way:
Type 1 “the pack”: Team that stays in close vicinity of one another and sets up kill boxes to pin the other team in.
Type 2 “buddy system”: Team that breaks into smaller groups to cover more ground.
My friends and I are more Hunter-killer in teamwork, we go our seperate ways but give call outs to one another so we know what to do(you really need to know when the other team has a beam or binary rifle).
Teamplay is there…but you’re going to have be lucky to find some randoms that all have the same mind set you do. Becasue the average random thought is either “oh, they wont listen to me so why bother” ,or “I know what i’m doing and they should follow me”

Add me GT is my name i have loads of frineds who still play. Teamplay is still there but its dwendeld greatly. I still run into games with loads of people with mics though like last night ona dominion game everyone had mics including the other team we were faceing it was fun. Gave me that old Halo feel. Its still there you just have to search harder and work harder to get it. I ha some great teamplay with people without mic as well they stilll listened to me and supported me when i asked them.
Like others have said it’s there, just not what you’re used to. I played CTF over the weekend, and my job was to be waiting at the half way point to deploy a regen field for our flag runner.
When I play with my brother he’s our spotter with Promethean Vision, he calls out enemy locations and movement for us.

Not all the maps are bad instant spawn does need to go and DMR needs to be nerfed most of all along with boltshot. IF they implment a classics mode i would be ok with ordinance only if it replaces power weapons with stater weapons and AA’s it would be perfect for Multiplayer then. Also maybe the option of forceing people to put mics in or be in game chat to stimulate team chatter. It can be implemented but i requires the community as a whole to support ideas such as this instead of just giving up like lazy slobs because they dont belive that 343 will do it. The communities bbeen doing i with competative ( 343 announced its comeing) ,team doubles ( took a while but it came and they didnt just destroy it you have different modes jsut choose them and if its that easy just play better than the apposed casual trash your playing( casuals arent trash just typeing how i imagine most of the competative peeps would say it if they agreed with me)),Community maps were also asked for they were implemented as well, TU is comeing and also the responses to issues have been improved by a lot. There improving but its like the majority of competativs dont actully want them to they want them to fail thats what i feel like IMO.

that wouldn’t change anything people would just talk randomly and not about the game plus you’d get the trash talk and no one wants to be forced through all that. partying has always been the best way because you’re playing with people you know, game chat doesn’t change anything.

sometimes i get decent games but thats like 20% of the time, half of the time people just run around looking for people to kill and abandon their team.

Exactly same thing just different ways. Even boltshot and DMR all have a workaround with hardlight shield or thruster pack the 2 things thats considered the things ruining this game ad OP can be destroyed or beaten by someone with the ability that was looked down upon as useless.

Unfortunately that always been my experience with every FPS ever, even TF2 before they added a team death match mode. That’s not an issue with Halo 4, that’s just an issue with gamers.

From my experience, people think they are try-hard MLGers. So they rather worry about a K/D ratio that means nothing and does nothing, than try to help a team win or work together with the team.
