Used to be that a new playlist would rotate in ever week or two. I’m missing the castle wars variant and wish it would come back.

343 removed the rotational playlists so infinite have more players, lame

‘In addition to the new modes listed above, several new playlists will begin to rotate in and out of Halo Infinite’s matchmaking.’

Yeah, it’s a damn shame. They did announce that they were going to be ending all active sustain support for Halo 5 and then just condensed the playlists while noting that they may someday revisit the condensed playlists for a further condensing if population numbers got really bad. It was a very disappointing read when they posted it. I believe they blogged that a few months prior to Infinite’s release, but maybe it was quite a bit more than a few months prior.
Anyways, I’ve been advocating for them to return a lot of the missing social arena content in some permanent fashion even if it’s not in an ideal fashion due to limited resources.
