What happened to space sections?

Some of the most fun parts in halo reach and 4 were the space battle sections? Halo 4’s midnight has got to be one of my most favourite halo missions. But instead of developing it into something even more epic in halo 5(like multplayer space battles) they remove it completely. Why? It should make a return in halo 6

Making a space battle wouldn’t be that hard, just get a space canvas throw a few rocks script them so they spin and move across the map, banshee start… and there’s your space battles

And this is just a basic version really.

They probably focused on the “hunt” for mc too much. I considered reach’s space section to be the best example. Halo 4’s was linear and you were just shooting turrets. I would like to see space battles in halo 6’s campaign like reach’s and see them in multiplayer.

It is, but you could add objectives like battlefield’s air superiority

They probably weren’t put in because they didn’t fit Halo 5’s super duper competitive nature.

I wouldn’t mind a space battle similar to the Reach version. The H4 one just felt like an obstacle course.

Ever since that mission on reach I’ve been waiting sooo long for more space battles in Halo, like in campaign and multiplayer, there is one user created map someone has made where it’s pretty much a recreation of Halo reach’s invasion game mode where one team spawns on the infinity and another spawns on a small covenant base on an asteroid and the covies have to attack the infinity, get inside and take over some objectives while the UNSC team defends, why couldn’t 343I add that to matchmaking I don’t know, you know what would make it better though? PLAYING AS ELITES!!!
Also I’m guessing some people here have played star wars battlefront 2, the space battles in that game were incredible, and guess what… THAT GAME WAS RELEASED ON THE ORIGINAL XBOX!!! And it still managed to have awesome space and ground battles… Wtf?

If you play battlefront 2 on computer, the teams were 32 vs 32 instead of 16 vs 16. It’s crazy having that amount of star fighters just going everywhere while people man the turrets

And that game came out like a year after Halo 2, you’d think that would kind of be the norm for a lot of Sci fi fps games set in space but nah, plus even the newest star wars battlefront was a steamy pile of turd compared to bf2, how have games gradually got worse in some aspects, improving the graphics but taking out the fun gameplay
