Why isn’t this play list available? Classic team slayer ranked was epic. This hardcore br is it really popular? What am I missing? Halo used to be about map control and going for power weapons. Why even have teams anymore. Sword shotgun and close quarter weapon is useless to br. What really disgusts me is that you don’t even melee people anymore. Halo has turned into cod run and gun fest. Really upset about this. Bought this game years ago didn’t even work. Sold it, went out bought Xbox expecting playlists would be fixed. Seems call of duty has destroyed this once epic game.

I can alreadly hear the complaints from the lemming players…It’s not fair that some players pick up better weapons.
Are you trolling? The BR rewards players with good aim and virtually everyone agrees that the BR (or any precision weapon) is good for competitive settings.
The close range weapons that you mention are still viable because they are basically a OHK. Of course you need to be mindful of where you use these weapons (areas with sharp turns/short line of sight) and bait players into committing to a push.

No just a totally different game with all br start. Times have changed
I take it you missed the weapons update. They nerfed the SMG so it’s only viable while in really close range.

Nice would love to see how all the battle rifle fans do in a match with no br. Would be crushed. Melee was the cool part of this game…done with halo
I don’t see how it would affect them all that much since most of the playlists are magnum starts anyway.

Its not fair they hit their shots and dont run in a straight line lol this guy
Classic Team Slayer was removed because of the lack of players playing it. The only playlists that are currently played in ranked is H3 which a valid complaint would be that they’re the only playlists active but to be honest there’s nothing that 343 can do to fix that. They tried to ‘fix’ it by removing some of the playlists to help condense the ranked playlist down. I can see them enticing players to give other ranked playlists a try when the new updates come in for Seasons etc…
What you’re missing is a different view point of skill. A lot of players (including myself) enjoy the Battle Rifle because of the skill involved when aiming. You can’t just go around spraying with a Battle Rifle and get a kill on top of that you’re rewarded for precisely aiming for people’s head. But while the Battle Rifle is a incredibly good gun it’s not a end all be all. You claim that the Sword and Shotgun are useless but I disagree. If I see someone with those weapons you bet I’ll avoid getting into a close encounter with them. Also people do most certainly do still melee people, the only game where people are more reluctant to spam melee people is Halo 2 because of the momentum based melee system. (see the halo 2 section here: Melee | Halo Alpha | Fandom)
The only game that could have a valid argument that Halo turned into Call of Duty is Halo 4 (no matter how much they tried to claim it was different pre-launch).
Call of Duty hasn’t destroyed Halo. Halo MCC is still the classic core Halo experience that you used to play (except for the disaster that it was at launch). Try playing the game differently, I assume you’re apart of the community that enjoys AR starts. There’s nothing wrong with this just understand that not everyone enjoys (same goes for people that enjoy BR starts) running around only with an AR.
Oh, if you’re referring to MCC then this is the wrong forum for that. Anyway, are you serious right now? Even Bungie admitted SMG starts were a mistake. H3 4v4 Action Sack has Team Duals which I believe has an SMG start so you can play that if you’d like.
OP are you talking about Halo 5 here or MCC?
I feel like you’re talking about MCC. If so, you might as well forget it only because the people that love the old way style of start off weak and find more powerful weapons on map left Halo. The ones that are left are the Hardcore MLG fan boys that need a BR or just a powerful precision weapon to get kills.
I’ve complained about this plenty of times but no matter what I say and how hard I try to explain it people will never waver over or try to understand my point of view of how I used to love playing Halo. Now a days everything from the past did the old switch a rou. Where you always start off with powerful precision weapon. The only thing different is that at least in the past there was 1 or 2 Playlist that gave those type of players what they desire like Team Hardcore, MLG, and Arena. But with the new way there’s no choice at all for those that want the Normal start off which is extremely depressing in many ways.
All I want in Matchmaking is
One Rank Cross Game Playlist with Teams of 5 or 6 Players with Normal Start offs.
As for the Maps just go to Every Developer Made Map from Halo CE through Halo 4.
Then for the Gametypes you have Slayer, CTF, and KOTH. These 3 gametypes can be played on Halo CE through Halo 4 with Halo Reach without being stressful. Now if you want to add Oddball to the mix you can but Oddball can be a stressful gametype to play on Large Maps.
As for the Maps and Gametypes the Ratio is set at 50/50 so you have a chance to play everything and not the same maps repeatedly. Then with Halo Reach being added to MCC that gives us over 120 Maps for this Playlist.
If a Playlist like this was added into Rank Matchmaking players that like that type of gameplay will have a place in MCC. Which overall gives everyone a place to belong.

He could only be referring to the MCC’s Classic H2 Slayer playlist.
In that case, please use the dedicated feedback threads that are pinned at the top of the MCC Xbox forums, thanks
