Oh ya it went down the toilet when halo reach came out. I’m pretty sure microsoft has ruined this game more than anyone else. I think with each new game they walk into the offices of bungie or 343 and hold guns to the employees heads and tell them what they want the game to be like.

Seriously, though, if you were worried about fun, you wouldn’t care about a certain element in the game. You would simply embrace it.
What happened to simple and fun? The community has became spoiled. Nothing the developers do will ever be good enough.

If they would have worked off the trilogy games I would love 343. If they kept halo simple with small additions I would play it all the time. Reach sucks and so will halo 4

Some of us are spoiled because we have had the greatest two Halos given to us years ago, which are Halo CE and 2, of which many of you newer players have not fully experienced like we have.

I’ve enjoyed the halo series since CE and I am excited for halo 4. Boom.
“Simple and Fun” are what the Classic Playlists are going to be like. I have a feeling Classic is going to be very similar to Halo 3’s play style.

Last gen maybe. This gen EA’s been one of the better publishers.

Sprint would be considered a small addition. Considering its the only thing from Reach that has so far made its way into Halo 4. You have no argument.

This guy here…he’s onto something.
When I picked up Reach, I played it and loved it, same as any other Halo game.
The irony of this topic is that the OP fellow is lamenting the death of fun, when by over analyzing it and griping about each and every detail, when there are SO MANY options as to how to play the game, he’s really just shooting himself in the foot and refusing to have fun.
