What happened to Shipmaster after H3?

During the surronding events and missions of Halo 3, and finnally by the end of Bungie’s game we discover that the Sangheili left off to his homeworld of Sanghelio’s with Thel Vadam, aka the Arbiter that we all know and love! Now, if your like me you love the Seargent Johnson type of characters that play a role in the Halo games of course. And to me, the only character left that felt a similarity to him with me was Shipmaster Rtaus…

Guys, let me know your thoughts down in the reply section down below and lets all have a Halo lore discussion about this here. I hope 343 brings him back into the fold sometime into the near future, maybe Halo 5 somehow, or maybe he died in The Thursday War but i cant think and remember it as of this moment, and something really tells me that the recently revealed Halo novel coming in December “Shadow of Intent” by Joseph Staten possibly gives us a bit of insight on his current fate in the post-war universe. Because afterall, that was the name of his cruiser! What are your guy’s thoughts on this, do you even still care for Rtaus, let me know and lets discuss ideas!

I’d be happy to see Rtas Vadum kicking -Yoink- with Arbiter again!!

I kind of wish that he was the Elite talking to Locke at the beginning of the prologue to Halo 2 Anniversary (“He may trust you, but I do not.”). But alas, it’s just some random Elite that nobody cares about. I, too, hope that he is brought back into the story in some way. It makes sense that he would be Arbiter’s second in command.

I’m hoping thats what the new halo novel shadow of intent is going to cover

  1. So sorry to be a buzzkill, but I feel like I should correct your statement about the Shadow of Intent. It is not a crusier, it is an an assault carrier.

  2. I too would like to see Rtas again or at least know what happened to him. I hope 343i doesn’t stupidly kill off a really cool character such as Rtas…again.

Here’s to the return of ol’ one jaw!

Hopefully! Of course we have to wait until December 7 and it’s only a novella, but I’m definitely looking forward to the update on what he’s been up to.

Maybe he will come back in infinite. We can only hope.
