How though? Cortana just sat and went crazy, did Selina self terminate? Plus she’s heard in the end of wars 1, so inless retcon she should be alive when the captain wakes.

Yes, she terminated herself. There were comic pages for Halo: Tales from Slipspace that show that her line at the end of Halo Wars 1 is the starting point for the comic. At the end of the comic, she initiates final dispensation (Esentially termination for an A.I) and sets protocol for the ship to automatically unfreeze the Spirit of Fire’s crew from cryo if it picks up any UNSC signals.

Selina? She got shot and died back in the 90’s. There’s a movie about it starring Jennifer Lopez.
Sad times. I’ll probably give Halo Wars 2’s campaign a go, doubt I’ll get into its MP, but bummed to hear she’s gone.

They’ll probably do something really stupid and turn Serena into a part of the Created. She should be dead at this point, but we all know how 343i likes to have characters that un-die.

I highly doubt it for 2 reasons.

The story where she initiates final dispensation takes place in January 2537. Cortana’s Created Uprising doesn’t start until October 2558.

Judging from her behavior and actions in Halo Wars and Tales from Slipspace, I highly doubt she’d join the Created to begin with.

I mean in hw2’s trailer someone says the same word from Hw1 ending
