OK well then dont buy anything like you said.
Well they did not expect an act of buttf***ing
That and the abundance of “smurf” accounts now.
People got their precious ONYX and now don’t want to drop it so they make a new account and play while un-ranked, and absolutely wreck to help maintain their position.
Also watching the HCS tourneys this weekend and last, I have noticed the competitive scene is flooded by halo has beens. Considering the game has only been out for 2 weeks now is pretty devo. They have sponsorships and money withstanding, with pre recorded videos and such played between matches. Not to mention the competitive teams skins and such being presented before the game even dropped.
They say anyone can enter the tourney and I did last week, but it seems these pro teams are given an entirely different bracket to play in- none of them verse each other in rounds 1 and 2 and are placed against new and less funded teams. In order to have them all bubble to the top and maintain their positions. I swear the whole thing is rigged.
$$$
Burnout from what? Most of the core modes are in before official launch. I’ve been playing since day one and I feel this is gonna be the best Halo to date imo. I just hope they make some open btb maps so rocket race can return finally
I’m just glad Halo is back with some fresh abilities. Tired of Apex, Destiny, CoD, etc… I’ll spend money if I want to on cosmetics, but I’m going to have fun playing the game for a long time. I don’t really care about progression.
How is that any different than your friends wearing nicer shoes or a team jersey while we play? Does that actually bother people?
Comes down to repetition, and player expression. We can’t even select the modes we want to play come on. If there’s nothing to work towards to, or any kind of reward by winning games, doing good in general. etc tec, its very much pointless. Because the game is free it doesn’t magically make it good, you need something to keep people hooked to come back for more, otherwise you bleed the player base until your product is nothing but a shallow husk.
well, the problem is. if your goin g to release a free to play title. but lock everything behind and expect people to be -Yoink!- for 343. then expect everybody to shut up and just give out 25 to 100 dollars to 200 dollars over a item that should of been in the game earned?
idk if i want items in multi player and campaign being locked behind a paywall.
games should not be locked behind a paywall like that.
that creates an addiction problem.
i was having fun until they decided to add get 5 killing sprees in fiesta that sucked all the fun out of me went from loving the game to hating it with a passion
The gameplay itself burns me out after a few rounds. Its not a bad game, combat just feels much more generic future shooter than other Halo games. Current balancing also makes scoring kills also feels very easy, which removes the thrill of challenge.
When older titles still offer a more satisfying Halo experience and don’t have $1000 worth of microtransactions I don’t see myself coming back to infinite anytime soon other than to play the campaign once for the story.
Not everyone will agree with me, but I know I am far from alone when most of my friends have stopped playing infinite already.
I did not read the past 150 posts but overall here are my thoughts.
This game is supposed to be fun, and I’m fact can be fun but in its current state it’s not. The lack of Playlists, in both social and ranked, is laughable and painful. Being forced to play capture the flag, or oddball or really any objective based gametypes with random people is exhausting and boring. Simple thing that define halo like slayer, swat, shotty snipers, or forge would go a long way to making this game fun.
Not to mention the absolute lack of and bastardization of beloved guns is just a shame. The pulse carbine is a joke and the commando is supposed to be comparable to the BR? HAH. Plasma pistol doesn’t even disable vehicles. Bultrue is almost impossible because this new shotgun is so much worse than the old one. I don’t care if it does more damage at range, a shotgun should be powerful up close, I have a dozen other weapons that I can use at mid to close range.
The maps also are sub-par at best. And there are so few. What is there like 10 maps total? If only you could find somewhere that has 6 generations of halo multiplayer maps that you could integrated into this new and “final” halo game.
My friends can absolutely bring the drippiest of drip if they want to, they’re still going to sandbag while I top frag rocking the Default Andy look.
Because completely optional cosmetics with indefinite unlock periods are just that, optional and cosmetic.
Your argument is aimed at trying to make people jealous of optional arbitrary cosmetic unlocks and calling it “imbalanced”.
Your progression doesn’t determine how much of the core gameplay experience you have at your disposal, it doesn’t lock game modes or weapons behind an XP gate or paywall, it doesn’t mean you take more damage than someone who payed for their battlepass ranks. If any of these were true, you’d have a point of suggesting the game is “imbalanced”.
I have friends (who have friends) who haven’t even figured out the customization settings 3 weeks in, because they’re too busy having fun playing the game. A lot of these issues are overblown, completely personal and entirely hyperbolic.
That’s why this challenge-only progression sucks so much
when the only way to progress in this game is to submit to a challenge requirement, and that challenge requirement is just unreasonably difficult, then you’re sucking the fun out of the game by forcing players to spend games playing as a challenge forces them to instead of letting them enjoy the game as they please.
