It worked out pretty well on Halo 2 and Halo 3 because there were enough assymetrical maps, but with the massive ammount of symmetrical maps in halo 4 I feel like that might be why it was omminted.
Disapointed because that was the most competetive CTF mode in my opinion.
Multi-flag ( without Flag at base returns only ) gets old fast.
anybody else really miss that round based, One Flag CTF ( and Single bomb Assault )?

yeah. I know right. I just dont understand how they couldn’t add it in before the game shipped. One flag was a very big part of CTF.
If you ask me it works better, especially with random team mates since they only have to do 1 thing at a time. (attack or defend)
Playing with randoms in 2 flag games just leads to chaos and basically them getting owned or the game ending in a draw due to having to attack and defend at the same time.
Of course if they come up against a full team they will most likely beat the randoms in a game of 1 flag.
Agreed, 1 Flag made public games more competitive, you could get into a game with randoms and all know exactly what you were doing regardless of having a microphone or not. Especially on Complex, the 2 flag system they have on that map is horrible.
One Flag isn’t even a custom game option. They said it was something to do with rebuilding the system for gametypes, but Bungie did that for Reach and introduced MORE options than they ever had before.
