What “January 2016 Season”? Everyone was reset??
343 said they would be doing the ranking in Seasons. From the time the game launched to the day the most recent update (Cartographer’s Gift) released was the Pre-Season. We are now in Season One, and with each season, the ranks will reset. It’s 343’s way of allowing players to see how their skills have grown and how they have bettered themselves since the last season
I understand why 343 is doing ranks this way, but I honestly just wish they would do the 1-50 ranking system again, or at least don’t reset our ranks. A lot of us out there put a lot of work into getting our ranks from the pre-season, I know it was a lot of work for me to reach Onyx in Slayer, and it sucks that it was taken away. Sure, it’s still visible on my Service Record, but I’m sure everyone would have been mad as hell at Bungie if they had taken away everybody’s 50s and reset them back down to 1, and that’s how I feel about my rank

I googled “halo 5 rank reset” nothing came up. It’s not my fault 343 is horrible at engaging their players.

That implies the average Halo player goes to 343’s website. It should’ve been the first thing I saw when I started the game. I hadn’t played in a while, but still.
