The first ten games place you into your rank, but onyx and Champion are considered qualification tiers. If you do well enough that you should be an Onyx, it will place you between high plat and low diamond. if you do well enough to be a Champion, it will place you in high diamond. Don’t ask why it works this way, no one knows.
