So yeah what happened to Locke or any of the other characters from halo 5? Hopefully we find out in Infinite. Anybody have any ideas?
Here comes the witch hunt in 3,2,1…Hopefully somewhere being a badass!

I hope you’re right.
Hopefully they will have some kind of involvement in the story. I don’t want to play as him again but I wouldn’t mind if he showed up for a mission to help Chief or give some kind of information on what’s happening in the story. Most of all I just want Buck and Alpha 9 to be involved in some way. I like to imagine they all come in with drop pods in a moment where it seems the Banished have Chief truly outnumbered. Buck having some banter with Chief would be the best thing I could ever hope for.
Me! Ideas! No…why…why… would I know! It’s not like I looked at halo infinite mega blocks and saw some spoilers or anything like that. Like I don’t know, a certain spartan IVs helmet… that would never happen. (View at your own discretion).
I just hope he’s okay.
Considering we are likely to see his shattered helmet and torso piece mounted on Hyperius’ shoulder armor, having him return in any fashion will be even worse than killing him off-screen. Eliminating him for shock value looks to be the choice they’ve decided on, and reverting such with a reverse-twist will utterly destroy the narrative quality.
He’s very likely to be gone. If so, let him stay dead.
Hyperius did us a favor, might get locke’s demise in a cut scene or he’s mentioned, highly unlikely there would be much more.
Who knows, but I believe we do have a deadly Spartan Hunter now. Surely some success has granted such a title.

Not really shock value. He is one of the best Spartan IVs ever to exist. Locke being killed or injured by Hyperius on screen would speak more about how strong the Banished to the player and have lots of actual value.

What and why
Spartan Killers happened.
Not just Locke but Osiris. Hopefully they show us instead of just telling us.
_Halo has always been about the Master Chief and Cortana. t_rollface
I hope to see a little of what happened to the Spartans who were alive so far, it would be interesting to find them around the world.
I would be bummed if they killed off the most significant Black Spartan in the games. I think that Locke has a lot of potential and I’d like to see him appear on screen and not die, existing spoilers be -Yoink!-.

This is a very important point to be made nowadays.
It feels highly likely to me that both he and Osiris won’t be in the game.
343 seems to have made a conscious decision to distance themselves from many of the characters and plot points setup in Halo 5, due to how unpopular it was.
I won’t go as far as to say good riddance, as I’m not fond of prematurely aborting plot arcs once your over half way through a story. But I’m honestly fine with this.
Locke and Osiris added nothing to Halo 5, and there inclusion may have derailed the story started in Halo 4 and Spartan Ops, wasting 3 years of development that in turn scraped another 6. I wouldn’t expect to see the Warden Eternal returning either.
With the exception of Buck I personally hope never to see any of Osiris in a game again outside of optional DLC skins.

Same sets that have different designs as the game and weapons confirmed not to be in infinite, not sure you should put too much weight on them.
I would honestly be happy if all the new versions of spartans are dead especially sarah palmer and fire team osirus they should just got back to having master chief as the only spartan in the games it added much more to the character made him seem more bad -Yoink- being portrayed as the only remaining spartan like how bungie portrayed him in halo 1, 2 and 3… i hated the new spartans in halo 4 and 5 and i hated that blue team were just all of a sudden there and back on the scene in halo 5 without any explanation of how there alive and where they were throughout all the previous games while master chief was single handedly saving earth and trying to stop the covenant and the flood etc! And yes i know it tells you in the books but not everyone who played the halo games is aware of the books or reads them…my point is there shouldnt be gaps like that in games and important details just missed out! Its one of the reasons im worried about infinites campaign!
