Was this all junk of buzzwords?
- Lack of raw input, it’s now tied to framerate
- You can’t unbind keys, how was this missed?
- UX is not mouse friendly and overall it’s one big maze to find what You are looking for. Main menu tabs are dissappearing in multiplayer screen for no reason.
- Game lacks third party tools to improve performance, no AMD FSR, no Nvidia DLSS, no Nvidia Reflex,
- making game out of focus sometimes lock the game to 60hz until You double hit Alt+Enter
- UI is flickering and generates weird effects for a small period of time.
- Dynamic Res is unstable and generates stutters
- Shadows and props are popping in and out even on high.
- Netcode/hitbox needs investigation, plenty of shots are getting through the body with no registration. Almost like mouse has no bullet magnetism or something to play with controllers on even playfield.
- No steamDeck/proton support to bring more players to Halo.
- No way to edit config, it’s encrypted
- Game runs only on DX12 ultimate with bugged flip fullscreen Microsoft can’t fix.
It’s really embarrassing. Multi milion company owned by multi bilion company that has one of the biggest desktop operating systems can’t make a game that will be the true showcase of what can be done on Windows.

I feel you 100%, the game is a disaster… its fun as hell but I cant get a good framerate without putting all my settings to low and my resolution to 1080… that sucks! the game still needs major optimization on PC. They said its the best Halo experience on PC so far and that is a load of crap as of this moment in time. Nvidia needs to release some drivers and DLSS support… Its driving me insane… also my GPU is at alosmt 100 in the main menu… wtf
What specs are you running with?
also, you can’t use the fuction keys to bind controls.
Meh… I’m on PC and happy with the experience. There’s a few minor issues, like some FOV bugs on my ultrawide screen, but they mostly got this right. The only multiplatform FPS that I’ve played that felt more polished on PC was the most recent Modern Warfare, and COD has been iterating on their PC support for years.

I have to agree with primus’s first post, with a few things to add
- Network Manipulation is too easy, got into AT LEAST 5 games last week with people doing that for free kills
- You can shoot through corners. I’ve done it, and see people do it. Look very closely at the bullet trails.
- The game seems to be server side (If I’m wrong say so now) and makes it really easy to get kicked out when playing with people with bad pc
- YOU CAN GET KICKED OUT FOR BEING BLOWN TO PIECES BY ROCKET LAUNCHER.
*If they directly hit you with the rocket where you fov camera is, the game crashes due to the effects rendering so close too you, making the enemy a free win. (no foreal, 4 vs 3 is surprisingly unfair)
The Anti-Aliasing they use makes the game a blurry mess as well with no way to turn it off, best you can do max the sharpening which still results in blurred edges and after images. This has been a problem with a few games lately which I don’t get since we’re all starting to run on higher resolutions for the most part. Being able to disable post-processing should be a standard but it’s still lacking here.

you forget the biggest thing: temporal anti-aliasing
it can’t be disabled and makes the game look smudged to hell if you’re playing on anything below 4k or 120 fps.
