It totally blows now. Preset loadouts. It sucks.
That’s because your playing Rumble BR’s, or Rumble Pro. Besides, I think its better that I don’t have to deal with jetpack sprayers.
I thought this was H4.
Just look at it a little differently: instead of your loadouts winning the game for you, it’s based on pure skill instead. It helps to find who’s actually better instead of whose loadout happened to be more appropriate.

It helps find who’s actually better at pro and legendary settings. The people who “let their loadouts win” the game for them, are by definition, better at said game type.
I understand what you mean by “pure skill,” but I would argue that just as you have players that are better with aiming/spawns/map movement, there are also players that are more skilled at using the appropriate loadout to their advantage. (although admittedly it can get annoying)

oh noes I can’t use Boltshots and PV now
Doesn’t bother me.
I’ve noticed this.
I’ve also noticed that ‘Team Slayer’ is the most common choice in the ‘Infinity Slayer’ playlist.
Followed by ‘Legendary BRs’.
Then last, and certainly least, ‘Infinity Slayer’.
Isn’t it wonderful!?
Rumble Pro and BRs are better than Infnity Rumble by far. In RP, the winner has always come on top because they utilized the weapons and equipment everyone gets the best. They also know the best pathways and when to shoot.
IR changes that, making the win more based on who used the most powerful loadout (almost always BR/BS/PG/JP/Resistor/Stealth) instead of who can do the best with just a BR and frags off-spawn. Not everyone plays the same, so its inevitable that not everyone will use the same combo in gametypes with custom loadouts enabled.
When the lights of ordinance are out, and classic gametypes return, what a wonderful world it would be.
