What happened to Coop?

Welp, I guess I should expect aiming to not get mentioned at all tomorrow.

Damn bro. Just give me a sign.

Lol. It’s a video game man - go outside and touch some grass whilst the big boys and girls at 343i fix your video game under normal, non-crunch, working conditions

You continue to miss the point. We can touch as much grass as you like, it doesn’t change the fact that 343 likes to keep us in the dark.

343 needs to shift their timelines? Fine, just keep us updated before the expected release has actually past.

When I finished the co-op flight I remember thinking to myself there’s no way they’re going to fix this many issues in just a few weeks.

Exactly. If 343 is going to miss their target, then they could just say the week before “co-op isn’t going to hit the Late-August target. We will give more information with the community update on September 1st. Stay Tuned!” and problem solved!

So you encourage lying to an audience as long as the product is virtual? Is that what I’m getting?

At the very least, they need to be more open in explaining their plans for the game.

I’m kinda getting frustrated with the lack of communication. It’s not like I’m asking for crunch, I’m not. I just want someone to funnel some official info to us.

Maybe a blog post every one or two weeks? I’m tired of seeing leaks of cool stuff with no official dev notes.

“Go touch grass.” What a nuanced and thought provoking insight in this discussion on how a greedy corporation has consistently overpromised, underdelivered, and exploited its fanbase over the past decade.

Yes, clearly the problem is with the toxic gaming community. Is that what your argument was when you told me to “touch grass?” That I’m a toxic gamer? Oh the irony in such a statement.

It’s not lying when you clearly say “targeting August” and “subject to change” in the same sentence.

I get people being angry because they weren’t told before the end of august. That’s fair - they should’ve told us sooner…but it’s also not a big deal when you consider that they’re setting difficult deadlines in order to push content out as fast as possible,

It doesn’t surprise me that they haven’t made the deadline and technically they were wide open about what they were trying to do. Part of me feels we should cut them some slack, and the other part of me remembers buying two copies of MCC, along with two Xboxes, a second TV for my wife, getting home and setting it all up, then attempting to play that travesty of a game for 9 months before realising it was never going to be fixed….oh but wait - it’s on gamepass now so the £120s worth of game I purchased was actually a total waste….

I digress - what I’m trying to say is:
343i suck.
Manage your expectations.
Give the devs a break.
Touch some grass.

Did you have to reply a second time to the same comment?

Radical idea: dont set those difficult deadlines. That opens you up to falling short, and then, whatever your intentions are, you end up lying.

The expectations are set by 343. I am not flaming the devs. Quote me where i once blamed the devs. Maybe go back and read my post where i questioned why there was no communication. Maybe go back and read my comments where i said it was “well and good” that they were making sure it properly functions, but then questioned why that goes in tandum with radio silence. Maybe go back and read how i said 343 doesnt respect their fans enough to say anything. Would love to hear where i ever once mentioned the devs. In fact if i ever do mention the devs on this forum, its usually with praises, because i know they arent the ones making the significant decisions for this game. Theyre just making the game. And i know they did a good job with it. That doesnt mean 343 as a company isnt corrupt.

Come up with something unique. I got wart treatments on my feet. 5 massive blisters. Walking to the bathroom sets my feet on fire. And youre still equating the holding of a greedy corporation accountable for their disrespect with a “toxic gamer” mentality.

Halo 2: Made in 10 months

Halo Infinite: Co-op takes 20+ months (1 year delay don’t forget).

I know halo 2 was crunched to hell, and not something someone should have to do, but at the same time, we’re getting to the point where basic features are taking longer to implement post launch than entire halo games
