During the events of Halo 4, we meet a new face who is the main chairman of the UNSC Infinity… Captain Del Rio. Ever since at the end of the plot, and his attempt to abandon the Master Chief on Reqiuem, i have just couldent stop thinking what might of happened to the oldass man. I dont think 343 would just introduce a stern stubborn man like this and completely erase him from the plot altogether, and i really really think he has something to do with Halo 5 Guardians.
I dont know a whole too much about this yet of course just as all of us, but if you could please let me know in the replies below about your thoughts of this, and who knows maybe he has something to do with the newly revealed #HUNTtheTRUTH? Who knows my man

Del Rio was a putz and a terrible Captain.
Del Rio was discharged for not reporting the find of 117 (Thankfully) and is probably in UNSC custody, being punished for disregarding the greatest hope to humanity.
You are probably right about him coming back.
even though chief did the right thing in halo 4 he still disobeyed a direct order from a superior officer.
that’s a big no no in the military.
also del Rio as big a -Yoink!- as he was was just following the proper protocols.
he must not have been too terrible a captain to be in charge of the unsc’s biggest ship on such a crucial mission.
While I really don’t like del rio, I don’t think his fate is that bad. Possibnly demoted, probably re-assigned to a lesser ship. Del Rio didn’t do anything objectively wrong. He was following protocol and procedure. He is however, not a captain who responds well to unknown circumstances. He protects his crew and his ship, but he doesn’t go above and beyond in his ability to lead. He’s someone better suited for a defensive fleet than a vessel like infinity.
He got demoted supposidly…
