As for the other 24 challenges oh you mean the ones where you have to kill so many NPCs or players in certain ways using certain weapons getting certain medals that takes for ever to do?
No it doesn’t, I can launch a Custom firefight, set the enemies it tells me to defeat and I get it done in 5 minutes, same thing goes for the weapons

this is what i asked a person who is pro-mtx and couldnt get an answer. and this was before they listened and cancelled the mtx.
o they introduce mtx to mcc. then what?
- can you guarantee that they wont make the prices for things from 2 sp to 10 sp?
- can you guarantee that they wont remove the toggle from the game? cuz people are gonna spend money on it and if someone has the toggle on he wont see it.
- can you guarantee that they wont make that challenges bad just like infinite? or make them more grindy which will encourage the new players to spend money rather than playing? or the sp and xp we get gets lessened?
- i have heard the argument that introducing mtx to mcc will help devs for the longetivity of the game. can anyone who want mtx in mcc guarantee that if the mtx are introduced in this game, we will get the updates for mcc and new seasons every 3 months?
- can you guarantee that they wont lock new cosmetics behind a store which you need to use real money to buy?
if you cant guarantee this then dont advocate for this mtx bs. and dont corporate bs cuz mcc barely has 5k players. if they introduce mtx then I can guarantee that it will barely have 1k players. Not to mention only a very small amount of players will use the mtx.
343 really dont have enough good will from the community and the only good thing that comes out of the company is from the mcc team. If they introduce mtx then its gonna do irreparable damage to the company.
So no goodwill = very few people playing it = even less people spending money on it so little to no profit. not to mention this is a paid game.

I play halo for the story but I have played the story like a 100 times now I only continue to play now to make machinimas

Can you guarantee all that stuff will happen? No you can’t so why advocate against it if your gona use that logic you have to use it both ways
With only pve you can easily earn 6 sp each week. 343 announced too they will find new ways to give more points
I mean it kind of its. Red vs Blue sky rocketed Halos popularity with non-Halo fans, and it heavily relied on cosmetics for the characters, ever since then cosmetics in Halo have been as integral and sacred as Multiplayer and Campaign.
Actually infinite is a pretty good example for this. the challenges require you to play in a way no one wants to. Not to mention they are hard to complete as compared to mcc challenges.
also the challenges in infinite encourages you to buy the challenge re roll or what ever its called.
None of this matters now cuz mtx arent going to available. You want cosmetics? DOWNLOAD THE UNLOCK EVERYTHING MOD.

Yep. I’m convinced Moonlight is a troll. Nobody, I mean NOBODY is so lazy as to say MCC’s challenges are hard to complete. Like if you can’t get the PVE challenges for spartan points in an afternoon, you probably shouldn’t be playing the game if cosmetics are your main priority. Honestly if players want to buy armor they have 5 and Infinite for that.

Mcc challenges take what? 3-5 hrs per week to complete(the one which give sp)

I think what might make more sense is being able to gift them to friends who might not have enough time on their hands to earn some points. Either that or convert them into a set amount of experience points. Maybe 10,000 exp for example, since they’re relatively easy to earn (at least the PvE ones are).

So, what you’re saying is that you genuinely wanted the crappy system that is microtransactions to stain the Master Chief Collection? This was an active and conscious desire you held as a Halo player?
Like, why are you even here? Instead of advocating for microtransactions, you should be advocating ways for 343 to make earning points easier. Examples include but are not limited to:
- Make Gold Challenges = 2 Pts, Base Challenges = 1 Pt. (brings total weekly points from 12 to 36+)
- Bringing back campaign exp. (scaling can be debated. Example: Legendary = 100K exp.)
- Make all exchange items cost less (all exchange items should only cost 2 Pt).
These are just a few ways that 343 can make earning points easier and completely eliminate the necessity of microtransactions. Like, seriously, did you not even think about these other kinds of options?

I’ve been saying this for a while now. EVERY challenge should award a bare minimum of 1 SP, blue or gold.

I see two possibilities:
- trolling, which op denies
- op already so much conditioned to spending money instead of playing, that he can’t even think of how to improve the system and his only reaction is to immediately spend money
There are already better solutions to the point system, like increase the amount earned with challenges.
Option 2 is very concerning, BC that’s where the publishers want us to be: people blindly spending money without thinking of anything else. And I fear this is just the start of it.
(Option 3 would be a paid person, who wants to shift the discussion to blindly spending money being a normal thing)
(And for the small chance, that op just wants to give 343 and MS money: just ask them for the information, where you can transfer your money to)

Outside of the community’s existing hostility to microtransactions, there is where you start seeming very sus.
Mods make PC infinitely better for Machinima. As already stated, eithout EAC on on PC, you can actually unlock everything FOR FREE, and no its not illegal or cheating or anything, as you can’t do normal matchmaking with EAC off. In addition to that there’s plenty of more tools to achieve the desired look and feel for your machinia.
You seem to rather aggressively want to solve your problems with money. If anything you should be pushing for a ‘machinima mode’ that lets you ignore unlocks on console, if thats what you want to stick with.
