Title says it all. We’re getting it in December now? (Which probably means around mid-December)

That makes sense. I just wish they could actually meet a deadline for once. Or at least stop making unsure promises.
I thought they said early to mid December. Plus it’s been 1 1/2 weeks.

Agreed. I would not have minded if they pushed the game back to finish and tweak some things. We might have some actual gametypes if the game was delayed to be polished to perfection.
That being said, I have some gripes that I don’t think time would have fixed, but, you know. At least it would have been a little better.
It’s been just over a week…
Mid December? Ha! Try the end of December. 343 always waits til the very end of a week/month to give us what they said the would. Which technically we still get it during the time frame they said, but when you tell someone that they’ll get something next week/month they usually assume it’ll be around the middle, not the very end.

A week too late for something that should have been in the game since launch. 343’s “it will come later” is a laughable approach at such a franchise.
I guess they were finished with the base game, so they shipped it knowing that forge wasn’t done but didn’t want to hold the rest of the game back.

If you feel so strongly about it then just don’t get the game until December, pretend that’s when it comes out. For me, this is still a complete game.
For most people, they don’t care about a few features not being included. It’s a little extreme to say they should delay the entire game.

I never said to delay anything. 343 has had over 3 years to deliver a AAA game that is the flagship title of the Xbox brand. They released it with gimped features and changes just for the sake of change.
BTB maps will not be forge maps. BTB was held back, as was forge, to give the community time to learn the new motion mechanics in arena before they start trying to build maps which need to take these features into account. And to give people a chance to experience warzone and not just disappear into some custom game black hole. And ultimately to give the game a longer life span. The more time you take to roll out features the more reason people have to hang around and see what’s new. It may be a frustrating strategy for some players, but it will benefit the game and the community in the long run.

If you watch 343i’s sprint episode or whatever, they state they’re working on a bunch of forge maps for BTB. So… Yeah. They’ll be forge maps.
