I used to love playing slayer and team slayer, but ever since MOR came out I get matches against peopl
e rank 80 to 100 up and in ranks like diamond, etc, when Im only level 57 and in gold five. Looking at their kdr’s a lot of them are above three, some evem getting into the double digits, while mine is only 2, now 1.9 because of these unfair matches ive been getting. Looking at my team theyre all in gold with lower ranks and -Yoink- kdr’s. I keep getying put up against of sweaty tryhards who only play this game all day while i get lumped together with -Yoink- players when im average. This never happened before mor, i used to get matches with people that are at my skill level. What happened?
Yeah they just messed up the whole game. It’s even more impossible for me cause I play solo. It’s literally impossible to get a kill, they just pounce on you and move in a way that doesn’t let them get killed.

I know how you feel, I can’t enjoy arena slayer anymore because of this. Being placed against all onyx players and a few champs when I’m only platinum 5…

It’s not really the ranking system’s fault. The population of people playing Halo 5 is just too low for you to compete with similar ranked players every game.

Nor is everyone who is good at videogames a 12 year old. I typically rank in the high Platinum or lower Diamond. I consider myself to be a decent player and I certainly have a life outside of Halo 5. I also can’t say that I’ve run into the problem you’re experiencing, even when I’m playing solo (I do run the focused search parameters).
same here. I’m platinum, but in my matches are players from gold to diamant and most of the games someone is leaving. Doesn’t matter in which team I am, but this could be so much more fun if the teams would be more equal. I’m using focused matchmaking option, but I guess there are just not enough players in Europe to get equal teams.
Infection -Yoinking!- happened. Called it months ago when people were crying for it. I’ll say it again: Infection kills actual Halo by focusing the majority of the population in it.

Well then it shouldn’t matter to you eh? Because you don’t play a lot, so why do you care if you win or lose?
If you lose enough, your rank will go down and the game will get easier. So maybe you’d feel more comfortable in silver or low gold? I’ve just checked your stats - you have an overall 50% win loss record, so it’s not like you’re getting destroyed every game. And your Arena KD is just positive, so again this shows that you’re not getting destroyed. So I really don’t see what the problem is?

Because, believe it or not, I played this game before Memories of Reach came out, too. This only started happening after Memories of Reach, which I stated in my original comment.

I’ll try that. I haven’t messed with any matchmaking settings yet, so I’ve been using a broader search system.
Focused gives the same results. You still match with higher ranked players.
Someone even said used balance and it happens less so who knows.
It is definitely a common issue now and could be linked to infection. A lot of my xbox friend seem to be in infection when I log on.

Yeah, Infection’s sucked up a huge portion of the population just like it did back in Halo Reach and in 3 (I think, I can barely remember that far back)
