*On August 30, 2552, 21 Spartans under then Senior Chief Petty Officer Frederic-104’s command were ordered to evacuate their D77-TC Pelican—Bravo-001–and free fall to Reach’s surface.
4 immediately died upon impact.
I conclude that Petty Officer, Second Class Joseph-122 was among these victims.

I know Chimera30 has stated this account to be a dedicated fan and not official, but still, if this is true it would answer a burning question I’ve had for years.

Yeah. Notice the “I conclude” part of the post. I wouldn’t be surprised if this user has every piece of Halo fiction at their disposal to look things up, but since the fate of Joseph hasn’t been officially written into canon (as far as I can tell based on quick research), “Curator” can only draw conclusions. Unlike Catalog, who presents statements as facts (even if those statements don’t always mesh perfectly with other sources of canon).
