What happened to kill joy and tge little announcement that shows up in big bold letters telling everyone what killing spree you are on? Why they took it out? Tbh I though it was cool.
Another medal I’m curious about is the Extermination medal. You can get it in game, like if you get an Overkill that wipes an entire team it pops up and you can here Steitzer say “Extermination” in that strangely sensual voice of his, but when you look for the medal in the Post-Game Carnage Report, it isn’t there… what gives?

They show up on waypoint in your service record.

They do, but I was always curious why medals like that never show up on the carnage report. Oh well. In response to the original topic I would like to see KillJoy make a reappearance.

343 needs to bring back a lot of medals. Killjoy is such a great medal. I also wish that they would bring back Yoink, probably one of my favorite medal to listen to (besides Hail to the King, the best medal ever created)
They removed medals that were seen as possibly crossing the line into friending. Killjoy is only earned when you end someone’s spree, i.e. ending their fun. It’s the same reason yoink was removed, it can only be earned by griefing others.
I’m not justifying or agreeing with the reasoning, just informing as to why these medals were removed.

The same can be said for other medals too. I mean they give out medals for spartan charges, and that’s pretty much the most unfun way to die.

You beat me to it. I wish they would bring back the yoink medal. I know the majority of players will steal kills while your assassinating but whenever i did it on accident and heard that medal… “Oh -Yoink-, sorry!!”… and you could tell your team mate was pissed because you hear yoink, right as they are turning towards you… can feel the anger and hate coming from them,

Nah, road trip from halo 4 was a great medal, even if it was in a not-so-great matchmaking

I think it would be more the “uncontrollable circumstances” reason, where the medal rewards players for being lucky. It’s similar to the ones they do have in the game (Cluster Luck, Last Shot, Fastball, Sayonara), but has one key difference. You cannot control whether or not an enemy player has a killing spree.
Killjoy, extermination and Yoink were great medals. On a side note when the announcer says combat evolved it sounds dope
