What Halo Reach Could have been, is what Halo 4 is practically going to be.

Judging from the video. do you think we will see the inclusion of space battles, global battles in halo 4?

I believe bungie purposely left them out of the game and are using them for destiny there new sfi and fantasy fps mmo set to release in 2013.

343, please beat them to it. Its halo 4. Its time we have the Star Wars Battle Front 2 style battles this game was always capable of, in fact in a much more interesting way than battle front 2.

This is pre-release alpha footage and the clips were designed to test out these features and it isn’t pre-alpha gameplay of Reach at all.

Space Battles were implemented into the Sabre combat in the Campaign Mission, Long Night of Solace and this was a nice breath of fresh air.

Global Battles were meant to be purely cosmetic features to the game to allow the player to feel like they are experiencing the war itself. Granted that some elements were not implemented, if you look around the sequences in Reach such as the UNSC fighting the Covenant on Exodus as you fly away to the Beachead and the Scarabs walking past you in The Pillar of Autumn, those were implemented as well.

Boat Battles were abandoned as that would have been extremely time-consuming to implement.

These were in-studio tests. There were not the planned beginnings of Halo: Reach. 343 Industries may or may-not have taken these ideas into consideration but Bungie were the ones who created the tests so I don’t see why they don’t have the right to implement them into their next franchise.

They left them out because while they did look really cool and awesome, it didn’t feel fun at all.
