What "Halo On Xbox One" in 2014 really means

All speculation but pretty educated

  • In 2014 we get E3 trailer for Halo 2 Anniversary (release Nov 2014 Xbox One only)

  • E3 teaser for Halo 5. With “Beta access included with Halo 2:A”

Saying “Halo On Xbox One” in 2014 is a little strange. If it was absolutely Halo 5 why not just say it. It’s not like Halo 5 is a secret. The promise of something in 2014 is interesting too. However maybe it is Halo 5, communication with the public isn’t exactly Microsoft’s best attribute, look at this past summer.

Halo 2 Annie would be very nice, but I’m starting to doubt its viability. I think “Halo Xbox One” is just a silly marketing ploy to announce that the Halo series will be continuing on the Xbox One, despite the fact that it’s pretty obvious.

Well considering that the halo xbox one trailer also has a halo 5 version of it, I’d say that the xbox one part of the title is only temporary. Plus 343 have referred to halo xbox one as a game itself. While they did say they were working on unannounced projects, this could mean many things, such as dlc, or the spartan assault xbox port, which comes with all new content.

There will not be a Halo 2 Anniversary. Halo: CE Anniversary was released not to celebrate Halo: CE, but to celebrate the Halo franchise as a whole. There is no reason to make a Halo 2 Anniversary.

As much as I would love Halo 2 : Anniversary, I doubt that Halo Xbox One is anything but Halo 5. Not only did we see earlier versions of the trailer that called it Halo 5, several Microsoft and 343i employees have referred to it as such as well.

Oh, and they said that Halo X1 would be running at 60FPS and would have dedicated servers. Why would Halo 2 : Anniversary need dedicated servers?

Agreed, if they do a Halo 2 Anniversary remake, it has a very high chance of not having a MP, so having dedicated servers for a game that’s campaign only makes no sense.

If it’s anything but H2A or H5 there’ll be hell to pay, and since H2A is looking less likely by the hour, I think it’s safe to assume H5.

thousands of halo fans who weren’t around to play the campaign then would beg to differ.
