Simple topic post a link from halopedia with your favorite vehicles from the lore and why you think they should be in infinite/ how you think they would fit. Note So this isn’t everyone including myself posting the Falcon, please don’t post the Falcon… we all want it, I hope 343 adds it, I mean it could be like the razorback but for the sky… ok I will post my idea for it.
FALCON
halopedia:https://www.halopedia.org/UH-144_Falcon
Gameplay niche: a 5 seat vehicle, with one driver, two door gunners, and two passengers, exclusive to BTB and custom maps, this vehicle also has the ability to drop supply pods on the field, two per falcon, these are armed by placing weapons in the ordnance pods mounted to the side. Good for supplying allies with a power weapon, or stashing the flag.
supply pods: https://www.halopedia.org/Ordnance_pod
Weapons set
config one
driver: chin gun
gunners x2: m247 machine guns (https://www.halopedia.org/M247_machine_gun)
other: 2 protected.
supply pods x2 (dropped by driver by hitting the grenade key, default battle rifles)
config two
driver: NA
gunners x2: m247 machine gun
other: NA
ordence pods: 4x rear mounted
confg three (gunship config)
driver: chin gun
gunners x2: m460
other: 1x rear m247
supply pods: NA
Ok now that that is out of the way here are two vehicles I think could fit infinites sand box.
JACKRABBIT
halopedia: https://www.halopedia.org/M121_Jackrabbit
Gameplay fit: a high speed scout vehicle, with two modes, a highly mobile motorcycle mode, and a point rotating attack mode. Swap between by hitting the scope key. Is armed with an machine gun, grenade launcher, or gauss rifle depending on variant and map. while in bike mode the driver can fire the weapons in a 60 degree forward arc, the turret is limited to prevent the vehicle from flipping. To off set this the Jackrabbit swap from bicycle to tricycle mode, in tripod mode it is more stable but has a lot less speed, while in this mode the turret is unlocked and has 360 degree firing angle.
variants
the jack rabbit has 4 variants, Scout, Minigun, Grenade launcher, and Gauss. Of these variants only the scout has a difference in armor having doors on the sides to protect the user and weapon rack.
Scout
seats: driver
equipment: grenade rack, holds 4x unsc grenades by default.
bonus: ballistic doors.
Minigun
seats: driver
equipment: m41 vulcan (https://www.halopedia.org/M41_Vulcan
Grenade launcher
seats: driver
equipment: m460 grenade launcher (https://www.halopedia.org/M460_Automatic_Grenade_Launcher)
bonus: like in reach, you can hold the fire key/trigger to remote detonate, EMP effect is weaker for balance.
Gauss
seats: driver
equipment: M69 Gauss cannon (https://www.halopedia.org/M68_Gauss_cannon)
vehicle idea two
M650 Mastodon
halopedia: https://www.halopedia.org/M650_Mastodon
Gameplay role: an alt to the tank, instead of having a heavy cannon, it has heavy armor, able to transport 4 spartans, a driver, and a gunner. Like in halo wars the spartans can fire their weapons while seated behind its armor, though note you have limited firing area. To balance this the armor can be blown off to expose the inner gunners, its m41 vulcan can also be destroyed with out destroying the vehicle. Do to its heavy armor it is more likely to be disarmed then destroy in a battle.
Information
seats: 1x driver, 1x gunner(pasenger side) 4x rear passengers (seats inside.)
weapon: 1x remote m41 vulcan machinegun
protection: its armor can survive multiple hits from scorpion and wraith cannons, though its gun can not. passengers in the back can fire their weapons through gun ports though they are limited in firing angle and can not aim down the sights.
other: Restocks AR and pistol ammo to passengers meaning that ma40 is likely a better rear gun then the RPG.
note: the rear passengers are seats inside that are protected, most passengers will be standing inside similar to an elephant as such it has 3 entry points. the ammo restock is a ammo crate in the center of the passenger area.
