What halo is supposed to be

Halo multiplayer should be two teams entering an arena on a level playing field with one another. Each person should have the same starting weapons, grenades, and player traits. Both teams fight over strategically placed weapons and map control and the team who plays better and controls the map better wins. No gimmicks, no crutches. This is halo.

Now we have custom classes, starting weapons that need unlocking, weapon drop pods, people joining the game in progress, an abundance of gimmicky armor abilities, killstreaks, perks, armor permutations, and who knows what else. Expect to see yourself dying in certain situations because you didn’t choose the right perk, permutations, or armor ability over another player and vice versa. This is not halo. Halo 4 is not halo.

Halo is about people having fun, that is all. People will have fun playing Halo 4.

Jump on the hate train, there is plenty of room

Ah yes… this “thread”. I dismissed it.

Right. number 2834. You’re not new here. Also, no one cares since there will be several classic modes.

Stop whining!!!

Geez, just go play Nexuiz. That’s closer to an Arena shooter then Halo ever was…

Are you not on Waypoint? Are you not whining about something you have yet to play? Interesting. I’d call you the same thing.

Give it a chance before you deem it unworthy.

So you can choose between an AR and BR, and have a few extra mags, whats the problem? I honestly cant see halo 4 being unbalanced because they took out the game breaking armor abilities like armor lock. Also its not like weapon spawns are not “strategically placed”
they are still being placed where the developers want them to be. The only difference is now the weapons can move between a few different spawns adding a bit more strategy to getting the power weapons. The only “perk” I am skeptical about is the “increased regen” other than that the game seems to be very balanced. So we’ll have to wait and see when the game actually comes out.

Then keep away from Halo 4 and go to Halo 3.

OK…EVERYBODY THANK THIS GUY

Or Quake 4, i believe Bethesda is Re-releasing it.

Well it seems Halo has changed then. In plus, while nobody will start out with exactly the same loadout, there won’t be any players that start with any asymetrical advantage either. The modifications won’t be anything like those in Call of Duty either. Carrying an extra grenade or having a bit more spare ammo aren’t things that will matter much in the equality of the battlefield.

Those two functions, for example, are only letting people conform to their play style just a bit more than past games did. If a player likes to use grenades, he’ll have an extra one to play with. But what if he/she didn’t have that modification? He/she would just pick up new grenades a tiny bit earlier. Same goes for the extra ammo. And how often does a regular player run out of ammo in their DMR or AR anyway? Almost never, right?

As you can see, those modifications, and possibly the rest of them if they follow this line of thought, don’t give players something they wouldn’t already have. It just allows them to play the game their own way, making it a better experience for each and every player.

Op, you should have your name changed to Whiny Whiny Whiny.

2 things:

1: ‘‘Halo 4’’ The title says Halo, so it’s Halo.

2: You basically described Halo 2/3. So you’re saying you just want them to release either of those games again? No Halo 4 goes a different way, don’t state your opinion as a FACT OP.

Cause ‘Classic mode’ means anything anymore.
