What Halo 5 s really missing

Alright so we all know Halo 5 has a boat load of problems, however one of the biggest is a lack of “fun” and “non-sweaty” areas. Well me and a group of my buddies have decided to get off our lazy butts and bring back the glory of Achievement Horse maps! Not remake maps obviously, but we’re all doing our own thing. Right now, we’re kinda working on creative Parkour CTF courses, I’m thinking I’ll talk with them and see if we can do assault instead. But yes, we are working on adding one of the many missing genre’s of game types back into Halo 5, due to the overabundance of slayer modes (pretty much everything but CTF, Assault, and Strongholds) and we’re hoping that once we’ve finished the first set, the community will have some fun, as we will be hosting them on open once finished. I’m working on a Pixel Art Parkour Course myself. Some of you may be asking “Why Achievement Horse?” or “What is Achievement Horse?” well I’ll answer those questions:

first answer: Achievment Horse was created by Jack and Geoff of RoosterTeeth way back in the days of Reach. These maps consist of Parkour, Vehicle, Puzzle, Maze, and even trickshot maps, they usually play the game in forge, but due to a lack of honor rules being enforceable in an online enviornment We will have specific game types set up for each different style.

Second Answer: I recently began to rewatch RoosterTeeth’s Reach fails and Achievement Horse videos and said to myself “I miss those days.”
Well I’ll be darned if I don’t do my best to try and get back the fun of Achievement Horse into Halo!

However this means that Sprint will be the only usable ability within these modes as I am trying to make them challenging, much like Reach was. So if you see a Lobby with Ach. Horse 1 or something along those lines, be prepared to loose all thruster related abilities, it’s a race to the finish, and only one Spartan will stand tall!

There’s the Skee Ball gametype.

Also, most of the Action Sack playlist is non-sweaty.

From my experience, Action Sack is one of the most if not the second most Sweaty playlist right behind Ranked Arena. As for Skee Ball, I’ve heard some rather….unsavory things about it, mostly that it’s inconsistent and hard to keep track of your score, so I think I’ll stick to custom Achievement Horse, something I know from past experience to be a good time, it’s especially fun watching my friends play it.

This sounds awesome. Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you and maybe you can post some updates

I guess you’ve never played Team Skirmish, Big Team Battle, Super Fiesta, Infection, and/or Grifball.

Or maybe your definition of sweaty is different.

Good luck on your Achievement Horse stuff.

The game only plays “sweaty” if you make it that way IMO. Super fiesta is good fun. Action sack is non sweaty and fun to me, well some games are fun but the not so fun games like mantis breakout come up way to often.

A unified, multi-faceted player-experience… where content at least aims to benefit and satisfy all players.

That is what H5 is missing… with a divided community where people prefer certain modes and in-game experiences to others, what benefit does half of the game’s content even have to players?

The way that H5 is designed is definitely not the answer…
