what halo 4's music theme needs.....

is simplicity.

let me direct your attention to this

now, I love the snippets of music we got so far but for the theme itself I would wish more epic simplicity like the original theme if only because I want to find myself humming that tune long after the trilogy ended

Shamelessly bumps

343 haven’t released the main theme yet.

Halo’s original theme isn’t simple, but it’s VERY memorable! Simplicity is NOT always the key…in fact simplicity leads to generic, and generic is crap…

I know that is just what I am wishing for

Full post down bellow… dunno why it lagged…

I agree with you  I believe they’re trying to hard. “OMG DIS NEEDZ TO SOUND GUD UND EPIC” Instead of working on the soul of it. Yes, the Halo 4 soundtrack sounds good but it don’t have the soul in it if you know what I mean? The Halo 4 soundtrack is so try-hard. It’s not that different from MW3’s actually… (Sorry for talking about COD but it is a good candidate that is to try-hard) Mw3 song This would actually fit in the Halo 4 soundtrack because it is following the same formula. Epic drums and some violins… I don’t say the Halo 4 soundtrack is COD but it sounds so try-hard.
Compare the other Halo soundtracks to the one in Halo 4 ( I know it’s not done). They have said they wont “copy” the old soundtracks. But make the new one “still feel like it’s halo” as they beautifully says to everything. In my opinion it don’t sound like Halo, maybe I need to hear it ingame but for now it just don’t and none of the songs we have heard can I imagine fit in middle of the game… They just sound like they are there to sound cooool…

I hope it’s good and I hope they use plenty of the Halo 1-3 soundtracks. :stuck_out_tongue:

and I am not saying it dies not sound amazing because it does but it lacks that “gets stuck in your head” effect that the original had
