I really can’t wait, as a core user (not broader audience) I get excited thinking about the first update to the game. It reminds me of when I would complain about day one patches & whatnot. Truly, what I am most excited for, is to purchase the Season 2 Battle Pass next year when I have proof that this game will be taken care of. Why would I invest into a game that is still running on a patched “flight” build from last year aimed towards a nearly non-existent broader audience?
I’m probably not going to get the battle pass or do the fracture unless there’s some Mark VII cosmetic in there I absolutely must have. I’m not playing Pokemon and collecting every core and cosmetic, if they can’t be used in cross-customization. I may as well only focus on one main armor core. I don’t even really use anything from the season one Reach battle pass, or Tenrai. There’s just no progression system and I needed a reason to keep playing
I think the battle pass will be twice as filled with actual cosmetics compared to season 1. Just curious what they will bring. Probably the missing REACH stuff like JFO, CQC, CQB, Mark IV, security and commando shoulders, probably the rest of the Firefall bubdle and a new core probably.
Probably the new core.
But I really hope they add in crosscore customization for S2, that would hype me up more than a new core, or anything else really
I’m actually excited for new armor.
I have completed all events, the battlepass 100%, bought what I felt was needed for my spartans, got the HCS cosmetics and now I’m satisfied with the current state of my spartans.
So I really hope we get some new cool stuff to add.
And hopefully infection, that’s what made me play Halo so much back in the day. Especially in 2011 when Reach came out.
Nah, it will be better than season 1. Cosmetics is the only thing they can easily add to the game to not further piss off the player base.
There were so many REACH related items that were leaked as Season 1 shop bundles. After the 20 dollar Hazop bundle fiasco NOTHING Reach related was ever sold in the shop, with the exception of a discount Hazop set. I do not count the Stormfall bundle as a Reach bundle as it was the Mark VII version of Gungnir, just as Zvezda is the Mark VII version of the EVA helmet.
All those cosmetics were still made and cannot be sold unless for super cheap. Why not drop them in the season 2 battle pass?
I depends. I never got the S1 BP because it was just reach armor and some emblems. The only things in there that were “new and high quality” were the Aviator Helmet (new design for Mk. 7) and the Blue Rampage Armor coating (looks cool, but colors should be customizable). So I didn’t buy it. The new cores look cool, but all that means is they’re gonna try to sell blue to us 5x instead of 3x. They said they’ll have free credits this time around, so depend on how many cR, the general quality of the rest of the BP, and what the new cores actually look like in game, I might mess around and buy it. Also it depends on what items are on the non-premium track of the BP.
Edit: And until cross-core is possible, new cores are worthless beyond what free items come with the core.
I’m interested to know how they will allocate XP if players haven’t finished the S1 BP. They said the BPs will never expire so if a player is only half way through the S1 BP then will XP go towards that before progressing the S2 BP or will they progress in parallel. I haven’t seen any details about this.
I think they said you can choose which one you want the XP to go toward. What i wanna know how the extra challenge slot works. S1 let you complete 4 instead of 3 challenges when you purchase the BP. Are they gonna take that away from player and force them to rebuy it or is it a one time purchase from any BP for all of this game’s lifespan?
Inb4 it has even less cosmetics, and is instead stuffed with Shop currency in the form of 10-50 credits.
Also, all those useful double XP boosts are gone, so now it takes forever to earn battle pass levels.
