Hey guys
im saving for a new gaming headset and wanted to know what you guys would recommend?
I’ve never had a decent headset so not sure where I should start looking or how much I should budget for.

If you’re willing to spend $100, the Earforce XO Four is pretty sweet. The older turtle beaches made for 360 work, but they’re REALLY low quality when you try to hook it up to an Xbox One. The new XO Four has really good quality stereo and a killer bass boost. I’m telling ya, the bass put through the headset makes it sound booming without the booster even activated. The low setting on it is perfect.
And and the best part, no mess of wires like X12s. The power comes from the controller when activated. Surprisingly, it doesn’t drain the controller battery like you’d think. Prolly cuz it works like Beats. The microphone is actually removable so you can use them like beats. So yeah, just the one wire that connects the headset to the controller.
I have the Halo SLYR headset and it works fine for me. I’ve never liked Turtle Beach, they feel like they are not made for humans.

I’ve had the turtle beach x12 for 360 they were great and only like 50 bucks. Loved to sound hoard onCOD. But right now I have the Xbox one headset that Microsoft makes. Those are good too. Same price as the x12s. Easy to control the volume for chat and the game because the adapter plugs right into the controller.
Hey you should check out the XO One headset , its pretty much the XO Four but cheaper and it has a bass boost. Around £38 on Amazon not sure how much in dollars its a good headset though and its wireless.

I am really loving my turtle beach xp510. Surround sounds, game and chat presets, the comfort of the ear cups, stream wireless music through Bluetooth, trust me. It might be pricey, but it is well worth it.
If money is not a concern get Astros, everything I’ve heard they are amazing, I want a pair, but am not in a position to get some right now. I have a nice pair of triton pro’s that I have used for years now, if they ever break and I have some extra cash I would definitely get some Astros.
Thanks for all the advice guys! I’ll look into them all and see what works best with my budget. Starting a new job this week so hopefully will have some money for a decent pair!

Just took a look at the Astros and they look awesome. Might save up a bit more and go for those ones.
I am in the same position…I raged while playing Destiny on my Xbox One the other day and I need a new headset. Id like to get the new Halo themed one from Skull Candy…and you might look into that. I have read the specs, and it looks promising. $90-100 depending where you get it: at a store or online.

The skull candy ones look pretty good as well. I live in New Zealand so will have to purchase online as the stores here sell it for at least an extra $50-$100.
If you have the money, get the Astro’s. I have an old pair of A40’s and the new Halo A50’s. They have been unmatched as far as " gaming" headsets go. If you are looking for something without a mic I’d probably get a good pair of sennheiser.
Don’t know what to do…I really need an Headset for the new Xbox One Halo 5 and there is so many choices…I’m finking between the Turtle Beach 800x or Astros A50 and A40 can you guys help me here…thanks.
