What games Halo 4 reminds me of (NOT COD)

Hey everyone, gamertag Vampyre0422 here, and these are some things that halo 4 reminds me of in other games, and I think that I love every bit of it :smiley:

Thruster Pack = Samus’s Dash in Metroid Prime

Promethean Vision = Samus’s thermal vision in Metroid Prime or even the ODST VISR

Hardlight shield = Big version of jackal shields

Default sprint = Borderlands, Goldeneye(modern), Battlefield

Customizable loadouts = Borderlands, Battlefield, Goldeneye(modern)

Tactical Packages and Support upgrades = Battlefield and Goldeneye (modern)

Promethean Knights = Metroid Prime’s space pirates

Promethean Crawlers = Skags from Borderlands

Promethean Watchers = some other Sci-Fi game I cant remember the name of lol

Invisibility = EVERY HALO GAME EVER MADE (except wars and I think ODST)

Hologram = Halo reach

I see no problems with these inspirations :slight_smile:

Like seriously, am I the only one who realizes this stuff and still has No Problem with any of it? I’m excited to play Halo 4! and on top of that all these cool features are wrapped up into an awesome new segment of the halo story! HALO FTW! :smiley:

You know, you could’ve included CoD if you wanted to, it’s just people freak out when Halo is compared to CoD that’s all.

I know I COULD have included CoD but honestly I have no personal interest in it, and I am aware that people freak out about it that’s another part of the reason I didn’t include it

Sprint in FPS games existed way before Borderlands and Battlefield. That’s the one that always bothers me when people compare it to CoD… Doom, Wolfenstein, Quake… all had sprint in the damn 90s.

I am fully aware that games before Borderlands and Battlefield have had sprint, but the other games like Doom, Wolfenstein, and Quake i have never played but have heard of, so I’m not gonna compare to games i don’t like or haven’t played if that is alright with you evilut1on

You haven’t listed anything older than 2004… are you sure you even play games?

The only FPS i have played before CE is goldeneye for the N64, but i have been playing various types of games since i was like 4 or 5, so you sir, are dismissed!
