Now I’ve been hearing a lot of people complaining about Active Camo, and I’d like to know why? Like a sort of list of grievances. I never have any problems when I use it or when it is used against me? Is it that they are hard to see when invisible; because that’s kind of the point, and even then unless they are perfectly still I can spot them a mile away. Even if you can not see them they do have a massive radar jammer effect which is like saying “Hey Im in this area!” When I see that I just go in slow, check my corners, and sweep the area until I uproot the guy. You also have the choice to just avoid the area entirely. So please let me know the popular consensus towards this AA.
P.S. As far as jetpack goes, I don’t care either way, I dont think it is OP but wouldn’t care if they nerfed it, jetpackers just seem like a big non-maneuverable clay pigeon.
Two issues people have with it. The first is using a precision weapon from the other side of the map that you can’t see. Honestly it’s very hard to see someone on the other side of the map using it.
The other reason is using a boltshot and popping out with it.
Beyond that I’m not sure what the issue is, because it’s very easy to see.
Promethean vision bothers me more than active camo, it’s like sure camp that corner with the boltshot and watch me come around and --BLAM-- another death
Active camo is great unless a player with common sense uses it and realises that ough if i just camo/cross map DMR/ Boltshot people in cqc and get a sniper in ordnance then camp i’ll get lots of kills
Off topic: It’s so satisfying assassinating an AC noob and teabagging them.
Eh, it’s mostly the camping it requires the player to use. Players shouldn’t be camping at all! And you give them an AA that rewards their camping?! Bad call people, bad call.
PV is glorified radar, I don’t use and don’t care care about it.
Jetpack increases vertical mobility, while still being slightly OP. Is still the most balanced of the top tiered AAs.
Because on maps like Ragnarok, its impossible to tell where somebody using AC is hiding at from across the map.I used to abuse this AA in BTB, until I realized how cheap it was. And on smaller maps, the radar jammer is glitchy and doesnt always wotk.
there’s nothing wrong but unfortunately most people are babies and like to complain when they die.
even tho i would prefer if it went back to being a power up on the map ordnance that keeps you invisible at all times except when you shoot, beat down and throw genades and obviously when it starts to where off
Haha, I did forget about invisible snipers, yeah that does bug me sometimes but I dont let it bother me, I just try to stay under better cover. And thank you for remaining civil about your answers… well most everyone at least had an intelligible and valid argument.
. Invisible Snipers
. Whole teams abusing it as a tactic so you basically have no radar all game and then they boltshot you
. Boltshot - a 2nd time just so you get the message
. At mid range the invisibility markers don’t show up then, all of a sudden you are getting shot from someone who was hiding in the ‘open’. First shot in most FPS games wins so it’s not about gun skill but choosing an AA
. Invisibility in Halo 1, 2 and 3 was a powerup to be won, not handed out to people
. Promotes camping
There’s more but AAs create moments that mean less about gun skill and more about non-controllable random elements. I like skill over chaos
When a player uses active camo not only can people not see him as easily, or the nametag over his head, but opponents have no aim assist when trying to aim even if they see him while he is in full camo. Because of this, and because of the rate of fire on the DMR, the player with camo is likely to get 2 or 3 shots into the opponent before the opponent can even get one off, even if he can see him. In a DMR vs DMR battle, if a player gets the first 3 shots he probably has a 95+% chance of getting the kill. If you can spawn with anything that makes it that easy to win battles it is, in my opinion, overpowered.
I only have 1 problem with camo, other than that its fine.
-Those few CTF matches where the other team swarms around their flag like mosquitoes and never ventures out at all, when the opposing team actually manages to get their flag they swarm around the carrier and camp at various routes around the map with camo and kill the carrier as they go by. Then they camp around the flag with camo again so if you go get it you get boltshotted in 5 different directions.h
