What exactly is an "inheritor"?

Yes, the highest rank an unemployed user can achieve in Reach, but I’m asking to what does the term “Inheritor” refer?

Halo mythology defines references such as “Forerunner” in great detail, but just what is an Interitor? I haven’t been able to find a background reference to the word. Is an Inheritor supposed to be an actual thing in within the Halo universe, or could the lofty pinnacle of the game’s ranks have just as easily been “Hotdogintator”?

Eclipse, Nova, and the others are understandibly inanimate, but I mean c’mon, you have to waste half your life to get it, it would be quite an oversight for them to have chosen the rank’s name at random.

I dunno, is it there an existing definition and I’m just not seeing it?

Oh, add “Reclaimner” as well lol

OK firstly I’d like to know what you mean by ‘Unemplyed player’

I don’t think there is an official definition but if I had to hazard a guess it would be a race of beings chosen by the forerunner as an inheritor of their knowledge and/or technologies maybe?

lol “Unemployed” refers to the fact that you’d have to have an incredible amount of free time in which to devote to Reach in order to become an Inheritor =)

Ya that’s kinda what I was thinking, been feverishly researching halo references but haven’t found anything. Perhaps it’ll be expresed in Halo 4? I dunno lol

Excuse me? I’m not far off Inheritor myself and I have a job, not only that I do volunteer work. How dare you assume that all Inheritors are jobless no-lives.

I have a job and a daughter and I am almost Hero.
I have a clan mate who is almost Legend who works and goes to School.
I also have a clan mate who is Inheritor and works aswell as having a home to look after.

Come to think of it 75% of my clan are high ranking.

That is rather an offensive statement to make to be honest.

We are simply Halo fanatics. Our favourite game is Halo so we play it in what ever spare time we get.

Dude i have had more jobs than you wil ever get and I havnt graduated yet. U jelly?
OT They are Inheritors of all they left behind

Yes, because all of us Inheritors have nothing better to do than play Halo daily and we ground our way to Inheritor in 3 months by capping every day. There’s NO WAY some of us got the rank legitimately over time and have been playing Reach since day 1…nope.

I have 3 kids to look after and am a full time college student. I will be Inheritor before the end of the month.

OP = I would change that if I were you. It could be seen as flaming and earn you a ban. Which is what I am hoping for.

Please DO NOT assume you know other people’s situations. You only make yourself look foolish.

I’m almost a reclaimer and in 20 days I’ll be inheritor.

I can rank up almost only in summer, because from september to may I have to go to school and then homework all the afternoon.
