what exactly do they plan for halo infinite?

343 has put a budget in making halo infinite it is 500 million dollars which will be one of the most expensive games ever created so far the only other game that stands close to it is red dead redemption 2 at 375 million dollars so yeah 343 has big plans for halo infinite some people have speculated that it will be an open world game on the ring possibl after or during the campaign as a big halo player i cant really see that they say that there making it like the old games were it focused on heroism legendary just like halo 3 and the past ones you know that feeling were you truly felt like a complete hero and just amazing so 343 will most likly not dissapoint with 500 million dollars to work with i believe it will be one of the most amazing games ever people will possibly be alking about this one for a long time. so i would love to hear what you guys think what they plan for halo infinite.

all that budget is not only for infinite but for the all future halo games and the new engine they will use for decades

no it is only for halo infinite the total amount if you count all that is 754 million dollars that they will put into it so all the other stuff will only be 254 million dollars but yes halo infinite is only 500 million dollars only to create the game nothing else do the research before you talk please

thanks for the compliment

Well it depends but from what it looks to be one of those Live Services that to be frankly under EA and Activision has a pretty bad reputation and rightfully so. Now that being said doesn’t mean that Halo Infinite would fall in the trap of here is ODST (or the Locke campaign) but expansions will be later and so will infection and CTF and you get the picture. An incomplete game with a roadmap that says it should have been released a year later. So what is it, so far all it is, just a name and a cinematic trailer (at least to us).

What could we expect it to be.

  • A core game with seasonal content and upgrades that justify reoccurring spending in such a manner that isn’t pay2win or other methods of coercion. - Periodical expansions and content that is delivered via online purchases. What we should expect (or demand)

  • A competent core game that as a stand alone product would be considered equal to any past halo game (i.e. Combat Evolved to 3, Reach and 4). - Features to include a full campaign with co-op (split or online) and full online features to include slayer CTF assault and infection. (Forge and theater and invasion modes can come out at a later date as CE and H2 did not have those features) - Basically be at the content levels of H3/Reach (at launch) within the first major DLC (within a year of launch). Now to be fair Live Services isn’t something that has been done right all to often. There are few games that are Live Services and fit a good game that isn’t consumer unfriendly. Splatoon, Red Dead Redemption, GTA online, then there are the examples of terrible ones (Battlefront 2, Fallout 76, Anthem). No doubt this proposal is ambitious of 343 industries and there is a big question of if 343 can succeed where Bungie did not. It is not a myth, that under 343 Halo became a trend follower and not a trend setter in the industry. True that it took inspiration from franchises that took inspirations from halo in the first place, but in the end, Halo 4 was last to copy these inspirations unlike Halo reach which took said inspirations and gave them their own identity for Halo (look at the load-out system and you know what I am mean). Hopefully, and as you might tell I am not one full of much hope these days, 343 can make good on their ambitions and we could have the Halo game to end all halo games. One thing for sure this might be the very last halo game I purchase, for good as I become a regular subscriber to the Live Service, or for not as I abandon the franchise for just another dead horse milked dry and then some by corporate overlords, and throw it in the same regards as modern Star Wars and Star Trek products. At least I still have my XB360 and all the games on it and the MCC on PC should bring in some good will so this is why I have returned to a place I once turned my back on. So good on 343 for that, it looks like a redemption story may be on our hands here.

As nobody at Microsoft or 343 has confirmed or likely will confirm this any time soon, this is still nothing but rumour. Please don’t base your toughts of the game on this as they could be wildly wrong.

Additionally, there is already a topic open for this here:
