What exactly are the Title Update Changes?

Hello! I’m going to introduce myself at one point, but I had a question:

What exactly does the Title Update do? I’ve heard it enhances the game in a lot of ways, and I’ve noticed armor lock doesn’t work as well (thanks 343). I’ve heard people say things like an “in-game pause menu” being fixed, and shots not being random. Did they change bloom? It didn’t feel much different when I played Super Slayer.

Also, the general consensus seems to be that it makes Reach better, but those who don’t research the changes often just vote against it, or never try Super Slayer. Hence, it’s not as popular. Is this correct?

On a random side note, I’m just going to say I love the new forum. It’s nice and clean, and very functional. Feels better than the old Bungie forums.

Bloom is reduced to 85% on all precision weapons + the pistol
Armour Lock nerfed so damage dealt to a player removes it from the ability usage
Active Camo nerfed to last longer overall
Sword Block removed
Although it is not available in Matchmaking any more, bleedthrough for both melee and weapons was added, before it was removed due to a bug.

Anniversary uses all of the above but the Pistol is a three shot kill.

To be perfectly honest, you’re the exact reason why TU isn’t as popular as Vanilla. Many players simply don’t know what the TU changes do, or just don’t notice them. Hence, they see no reason going into Super Slayer when Team Slayer is the same kind of experience to them. There has always been confusion to certain players who aren’t as in-the-know that have no idea what the TU settings change exactly.

Adding to this, 85% bloom gives you absolutely no bloom while crouching with the DMR and no bloom at all on the NR whether your standing or crouching. I think for AC they just gave it a 15 second flat rate, although I heard it may be less. Bleed-through is still in Anniversary Classic and MLG.

When you play MLG or a gametype in Super Slayer called “ZB Slayer DMR’s”, you will have no bloom on your DMR, NR, and Pistol whether your standing or crouching.

Thank you for helping me out here. I’m always surprised by how unsaid the changes in this game are, as in how they are publicized. I understand in games like Battlefield, a little nerd here and there aren’t going to cause a problem, but this is Halo. Little changes create dramatic differences. Not that I have any problems of course.

Now that I know this, Super Slayer it is for me. I’ve been going back and forth, and just never made any thorough differences between the two.

Well, since that’s answered, I can understand why it’d be frustrated to see this TU so ignored. It must befont lying for 343, having everyone say “Halo Reach is unbalanced”, and then completely shunned. This is why everyone says that 343 has done nothing to fix Halo Reach. They made it optional for those who preferred the old game. Also, SitriStahl, you’re right. I’ll make sure to tell my friends. Now, to keep twiddling my thumbs for Halo 4.

Also remember that any playlist in the “Evolved” category of MM has the TU, while everything in the “Standard” category does not.
