Halo: The Master Chief Collection, since its release has a large amount of match making issues. The main things 343 seems to be targeting with these updates is the stability of parties and search times for matches (with good reason of course). With this in mind, they continue to overlook something that not only should have been in this game from the start, but has been in other Halo games already. If they simply gave players the ability to view the population of a given matchmaking playlist, then players would have more of a choice in how long they would have to wait to find a match. It wouldn’t fix everything, but it would at least give players a better understanding of why their searches are taking so long.
Lets not forget:
Viewing emblems in game.
Shots registering
Even teams
4v4 not 5v5- This is not call of duty.
Service numbers need to appear over your team mates head along with emblem. How can i call out to a team mate when they all have the same emblem and no numbers…
Also since launch: Halo 3 stats don’t go towards Service record
How about working ranks. For tons of people ranks are impiortant and add replayability to the game. This should be high on their priority list.

Second that. I’ve had my rank reset every other day while some of my friends have kept their rank since launch. It’s ridiculous. I’ve had no motivation to play online, competitively, because I already know my rank is just going to reset in a matter of days. =/

I’ve been saying this since day 1.
It would be a convenient feature but I’m guessing 343 doesn’t want to reveal how small the MCC population is, or that it’s in decline
They also didn’t fix the rank boosting problem, you can still quit in a match and rank up and counts as a win on your stats

That’s what I’ve been thinking. I also can’t find any information on how many units of this game they have sold, therefore I can’t even speculate as to how many people play it.

You think the MCC population is small? Ok.
But wouldn’t that kill playlist? So if I see that Team Slayer has 1000 people in it and BTB only has 100 then everyone is going to go to Team Slayer, which would increase Team Slayer and reduce BTB. But I want to play BTB.

Not just that, but it would be a catch 22. If you saw the population numbers were low, less people would enter that playlist making it a dead playlist and further lowering the population. I think it should wait until all the mm issues are addressed.

BTB is already dead, people have filtered into team slayer and the one ranked playlist.
Seems like they can fix old bugs but with a price of new bugs… Really don’t feel like repeating myself again.
I like how a lot of people don’t state the biggest problem with the collection right now. Halo 3 custom games when it comes to player made maps can’t be made since we can’t put any starting spawns on the map. It’s so disappointing for people who put the time and effort to forge an infection or capture the flag map just to be ripped off by the “Basic Editing” only gametype for forge.
