Back in the day, 343 said they would let us decide what playlists would become our Double XP Weekend Playlist for that weekend. However, we only ever got 3 choices: strongholds, capture the flag, and “the playlist that was always picked.” I mean seriously 343, why the -Yoink- would anyone choose to make strongholds or capture the flag our weekend playlist WHEN THEY SEE IN THE GAME ALREADY. As you can see we never even really had a “choose” in the matter when we were give abysmal options.
Nowadays, we don’t even get to vote anymore. So what every happened to voting for our weekend playlists?
Just another typical 343 idea that COULD’VE been good, but suffered outrageously poor implementation/execution…
weekend playlists suck anyway. in my opinion i would be happy if they never returned. i dont know who told 343 that we want playlists only for 3 days and then they can take them away. I do not want temporary playlists at all. that is my vote.
i want playlists i can come back to play at anytime. weekend playlists are nothing but a tease and they have no place in this game. That being said if we had at least 8 arena playlists i would welcome variety in the form of weekend playlists. as it stands they are a waste of time and space and do not add to the overall variety.
example; team doubles as a temporary playlists is just a sham. Doubles should be permanent. Why cant they just keep them up? Do they simply fear people will have to wait too long if there isnt enough population?? (think mCC) the way i see it is without more variety this game will die soon enough anyway, but with more playlists there might be more people playing on a regular basis. or is the goal to just try and bring people in once or twice a month for “featured” weekend playlists? if there was a new weekend playlist every week i wouldnt be complaining…
my expectation from the MCC was that any temporary playlist would be replaced by another as the updates rolled along. i dont see why they cant leave a temporary playlists for a month for instance, double what the “holiday” playlists got. as soon as i ranked in doubles during the holiday they removed it. whats the point!?

While you are entitled to your opinion, I Disagree. Weekend Playlist have a place, they make good social playlists and give an opportunity for players to rank up faster. I don’t agree with you on the fact that most weekend playlist suck, but that is because they only have like 4 game modes in the game. Had they had infection, fiesta, or grifball as a weekend playlist choice, then we could have seen much better results.
Seeing as none of the options I voted for made it to the weekend, I can’t say I miss it.
CTF playlist, maybe I’ll get you someday.
