What ever happened to fall damage?

Hey guys. I seem to remember our dear community manager Jess teasing via a Halo Bulletin a few months ago how the TU would allow us to play “<REDACTED> without fall damage”. I had completely forgotten about this jump damage thing until today, so I was just wondering if anyone knew where our toggled fall damage went. Or am I just stupid and somehow missing a comprehensive list of TU changes?

I believe its safe to say its not in the tu. And I doubt it’d be in the anniversary gametype considering ce had fall damage to.

Yeah, I would agree. I simply wonder if the reason why it was omitted was ever stated.

If I had to guess they probably didn’t put it in because of Jet-pack.

I can’t believe I forgot about this. I guess it was one of those things subject to change that got changed.

it not that bad, if you slide down the cliff/wall/whatever instead of jumping theres no fall damage

Not only fall damage but fall recovery is bad aswell, especially when you’re aim gets thrown right down into the ground.

yeh but id hate to see those jetpack players flying around without worrying about the ground!

You need a valid/modified gametype from matchmaking. BUT, until now, there is no such a gametype. We have to wait until Halo CEA and the classic V2 playlist.

Most of the things the TU brought in, is simply not customizeable. Same as the Bloom. Even though we have the gametype, we cant change the bloom within the settings.

The recharge time of the jetpack is fast enough to avoid the fall damage.
