What environments do you want to play in?

What sort of environments would you like to play in in future DLC? Halo 4 has done a considerably better job than Reach did of giving each map its own aura and feel. What sort of stuff would you like to see i the future? Here are some of my ideas.

Deep Space
There are a few player made maps set in space, but in general the maps in Halo 4 are land based. I’d love a map like Boarding Action or Midship that distinctly feels like it is set in space. I’d love to see 343i use those player trait zones they created and have sections of the map with zero gravity like Halo Reach’s Zealot.

Inner City
Headlong is probably the closest halo map to what I’m talking about. It’s really more of a call of duty style map, but it would be really cool to play in a tight, close quarters, lots of really close 2 story buildings would be cool. Call it “Boltshot Heaven” maybe?

Linear Battlefield
A long battle field that basically directs everything to one main battlefront. Gephyrophobia from Halo CE PC was like this, and narrows was created in the same vein. Large BTB vehicle heavy, like the highway level from Halo 2 campaign. Would be funz :slight_smile:

Water Based
Due to the fact that spartans can’t swim, this has never really been done, but it would be AWESOME to see a map that is centered around water, not just featuring it off to one side like in Headlong, Hemorrhage, Zanzibar. Either underwater, or just over the water. An underwater aquatics facility would be awesome (we have oceanic armor, why not a map.)

I would love to play in the snow again =) just like Avalanche! I just loved seeing puffs of snow pop up from where I was walking, and the frosty vehicles looked good too

I miss snow levels. I like snow, and thus I like shooting people in the snow(virtually)

Something like Avalanche, Headlong, Sandtrap, Ridgeline, Hell, even Spire for God sakes.

All of the big team maps on this game are terrible, they even managed to ruin Valhalla, which was my favorite map in the series. i hate it now.

Ok, so I posted this as a topic earlier today, and it ended up as a post in someone else’s topic O.o but yes I did post it earlier. I took out the line that made it about the Castle Map Pack and made it more of a brainstorming thread.

Ah yes, the days of sidewinder. I always felt like that map was too big :stuck_out_tongue:
Is longbow not snowy enough? A 4v4 snow map like lockout would be cool.

A remake of Spire in an urban or maybe a tropical environment could be sweet!

I agree to underwater map, halo reach ha a small space allowed for underwater forging, it was limited, but to have that space bigger would be Awesome. I would love to add water in maps, like say you’d set it in the forge under natural, water. Click level of water. Small, Medium, Large, & full.

It’d be like the lighting, take a few moments while the map loaded the water or play space was filled. You need walls or it’d keep running out. Hence the idea. For players who like to have water in their maps.

But i agree with these maps.

All these could be added. + you could use spx balls to create elements and etc. Like rain, snow, ice, etc.

For map, my cousins always played on reflection, we loved it. It was great for 4 vs 4 swords.

Adding water physics would be cool, especially if you could add things like a waterfall :slight_smile:
