What else would you want for the MCC?

I would love to have a tool in the campaign menu to create our own campaign playlists with players missions of choice

  1. Would like to see the two remaining Halo online maps Diamond Back and Reactor ported into Halo MCC to be played in Halo 3 multiplayer.

  2. HDR settings for PC.

You guys are joking, right?

It’s a strange request due to the fact that most currently functioning computers can run every game other than Halo 2 Anniversary (which needs real performance improvements on its own) without many issues, but FSR implementation would be a good way to boost framerates for the handful of people who have high refresh rate monitors but not so great hardware. Regardless of its usefulness, It would be good technology practice for the team working on MCC. I feel they could get a good understanding of the game engine if they attempted to implement it. Or maybe it’s just not possible. They are old games.

I think the best course of action from a business and community standpoint is to follow in the footsteps of DOOM.

These games are mostly played by those of us who’ve now been playing for decades. With the release of the mod tools, the number of fan mods I see has exploded in quantity and quality.

I think they should buy out some of these community mods, polish them, and release them as DLC. I’d pay 5-10 bucks for a 3/4 level mod every couple of months that I can toggle on/off on a menu. Especially if the dev gets a small percentage. The original fans are all adults now, well definitely pay for that. They could even commission the best modders the way id did for Plutonia.

The Xbox version of the classic doom is literally getting 30 level map packs every couple of months and it’s very much keeping my interest well beyond the base game. Quake has the same thing, so the model works.

It’d also spark a fire under the modders to make more in hopes to be bought out. Hell, it could even spawn new IPs. Team Fortress started as a Quake mod.

Slight Aim assist for KBM users like Infinite got, i feel it really made Infinite much more enjoyable and balanced, i can’t see it not having that effect for MCC

No, we’re not. Watch Arby 'N The Chief and Jon’s commentary on the TOSERS for details.

I want some simple and complex additions. Things I think would be relatively simple would be to add a toggle to turn off certain sound effects.

Things like flag taken flag dropped, I personally enjoy it but I know it has caused others to play Halo less. Or something that irritates me in ODST, reach, 4, and newer titles the sounds effects of Spartans getting hit (ah eh ah) or when they’re sprinting panting (phuw-huw). My friends and I would play those titles more if the sound effects of sprinting and getting shot were toggleable.

Another thing I think would be relatively simple and that I have seen mentioned is an ability to make our own campaign playlists. Or at least add more of them. The company should already have data about fans favorite missions.

Getting a little more complex and demanding, veto would be an encouraging return. If my memory serves me right the squeaky wheel gets the grease fans/employees that wanted veto removed back around Halo 4 have helped ruin this franchise. Plus, the original trilogy had veto…

For the most complex and demanding request, Halo MCC is Infinite. For that robbery of a launch back in 2014 and most releases since, I want to be able at a minimum the ability to search a 4v4 game of CE, 2, 3, 5, and Infinite in the same application and game browser. I will spend $100 on this feature. I will not spend anymore money on Infinite or the Halo franchise in general unless this feature is implemented.

Here is one thing I do not , I repeat NOT want, Halo 3 remastered.

What I still want to see in no particular order:

  • An overhaul to the exchange as it’s current layout/system is awful
  • Social features added into multiplayer like proper pre & post game lobbies (we sort of have post game lobbies but they immediately disband after like 5 seconds)
  • A party up system like Halo 3
  • CGB support for modded maps and modes from Steam workshop. As well as support for Xbox players to join modded lobbies (Xbox players can’t atm join lobbies with mods from steam workshop enabled).
  • An increased fileshare limit would be super beneficial for maps and modes
  • Have the option to replace your avatar in your career page with your Spartan/Elite from a game of your choosing
  • Have the remaining Campaigns crossplay for Xbox and PC players as not all (at least to my knowledge) are yet crossplay. I think CE, 3 and ODST are but the rest aren’t but I could be wrong.
  • Have the ease of saving custom maps and modes on Waypoint like Halo Infinite with the bookmarking system.

A bonus one I have which isn’t necessarily a super important thing but would be nice if it was added is a more in depth file share system with pictures and videos would be nice. I get the gaming scene has changed and there are multiple ways to view that stuff so it’s not really necessary to be in game, but it still would be nice if it is possible.

Whether these get added all in 2023 isn’t mandatory it would be nice to see all these if not most features I listed above added.

Damn, you posted that in Spring 2022?!

Dang, I can’t believe it’s been that long since Spartan Ops was moved! I thought that was only recently!

Looks like your comment regarding Spartan Ops matchmaking is not aging well :grimacing:
