I’m not trying to prove a point or anything but I thought this was interesting

Halo 2 introduced:
-duel wielding
-(not including remakes) 10 new maps at launch
-online multiplayer
-playing as an elite
-customizable emblems
-2 boss fights
-medals
-3 new gametypes
-boarding vehicles
-5 new weapons
-stationary turrets (2 of them)
-3 new vehicles
-4 new enemy types

Halo 3 introduced:
-3 new enemy types
-equipment (11 of them)
-5 new weapons
-2 new grenade types
-detatchable turrets ( 4 of them)
-6 new vehicles
-1 (sort of) boss fight
-(not including remakes) 10 new maps at launch
-forge
-service tags
-armor permutations
-veto system
-theater mode
-2 new gametypes

Halo 3: ODST introduced:
-firefight (8 maps at launch)
-1 new enemy type
-1 new weapon

Halo: Reach introduced:
-voting system
-3 new gametypes
-animals in campaign
-friendly spartan AI
-1 new enemy type
-(not including remakes) 7 maps at launch (plus 5 forge maps)
-8 new firefight maps
-4 new vehicles
-campaign vehicles
-armor abilities (7 of them)
-8 new weapons

Halo 4 introduced:
-3 new enemy types
-1 (sort of) boss fight
-ordnance drops
-(not including remakes) 12 new maps at launch
-4 new gametypes
-loadouts
-sprint
-10 new weapons
-1 new grenade type
-1 new vehicle
-5 new armor abilities

Halo 2 Anniversary introduced:
-1 new vehicle

Halo 5 introduced:
-7 of the same boss fight (10 including warzone)
-5 new abilities
-1 new vehicle
-2 new gametypes
-1 new enemy type
-(not including remakes,“remixes”, or closed off maps) 8 new maps at launch (plus 7 forge maps)
-1 (sort of) new grenade type
-2 new weapons

I’d like to reiterate that I’m not trying to say one game is better than another, I mostly created this as a reference for anyone talking about new content in Halo games.
