I love references. I slip them in often even if I know no one else will get them, and I’m always curious to know what other people are referencing with their usernames. My name actually references my two favorite fictional universes (Halo and Middle Earth) and '90s pop culture.
FoeHammer was, as everyone here will know, the awesome Pelican pilot from Halo: CE who died in a blaze of glory trying to retrieve the Chief at the end of the game.
Foe-hammer was also the name of Gandalf’s sword in The Hobbit and the LotR stories (also named “Glamdring” in the elvish tongue).
I would have stuck with just the gamertag “FoeHammer,” but since it was taken and I hate seeming unoriginal by simply adding a number or random letters, I added “Time” on the end to reference MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This.” Yay '90s lol.

Oh man is mine complex…originally it was Orcaman15, which was a variation of the one I wanted (Dolphindude), which ties into my interests in marine biology in real life (and also because you never see anyone using marine mammals as gamertags so I figured heck, maybe it’ll help people remember it). Dolphindude was taken sadly (just as it was when I attempted to get it on YouTube), so as with YouTube I took Orcaman15, since Orcaman itself was ALSO taken on both places (and originally I was 15 when I got my YouTube account).
I kept that one for years, and then, just recently, when Microsoft released all these old, unused ones, I figured “time to upgrade!”
Turns out Dolphindude AND Orcaman were STILL TAKEN. So I figured, okay, what could work…
And then it hit me; Killer Whale. Orca. Promantu. Killer Orca
(And its funny because orcas have never attacked a human outside of captivity, so a killer orca would be something to be feared…also, you know, 20,000 pounds of streamlined blubber and muscle traveling at 30 knots is nothing to sneeze at).
Mine are the first 3 words of Gundam Wing’s OP theme, Just Communication. Because nothing is more nostalgic than a 90’s anime about 5 teenage boys piloting ridiculously over-designed mech suits and easily taking on a worldwide military force.

Well mines a default gamer tag. At one point I changed it to be
PbatsChampion based off of a YouTuber PaperBatVG but I messed up and forgot the I… when I got the money I changed it back to RuthlessSkate94 because I actually really like it.

My default tag was like “SootiestToe” or something stupid like that lol. Yours default is a lot better. I like it.

I would but honestly I can’t handle anime. I’ve tried and I just can’t even lol. Not my cup of tea.
I don’t think there is a way to check though. None that I know of, anyway. Maybe if you spelunk deep enough into your Microsoft account there is a record somewhere.

My surname. I thought it was something unique and memorable. It also means Guardian (Also the name of an organization very close to my heart) in German, which is kinda cool. Also, it means that kill feeds technically say “You were killed by The Guardians”, a nice little throwback to Halo 3. And coincidentally (again), Halo 5: Guardians.

Well, when I was 5, I would have my grandpa buy me toys almost everyday (He was rich af). And, I mainly play shooters so there’s that. 3 is my fav number but it was unavailable so I used 33.
