It means that for once halo is looking back to its past. Events from 3 and reach have impacted the story for halo 6.
Is this supposed to be like a prequel to Halo 5 or something?
I didn’t read the article yet but I wouldn’t trust that site. They used to publish an article about left 4 dead 3 that had the same info/rumors as the previous one every week.

4, 5, and 6 are a trilogy, so 6 will add on to 5 and it’s undeserved cliffhanger
