The MP team chatter option in settings would affect voice chat in game I would guess, but it does not. What does it do exactly?
I wished it would affect voice chat, because I’m getting really sick and tired of all the noise (screaming 8 year olds, loud music) in the pre-game lobby, before I get mute controls. 343 should fix this, ridiculous really.
the automated in game chatter like “there’s a grenade” Or 'Watch your fire" or " Weapons up!" happen when things go on in the game to warn you or cheer you. but you can turn that off if you like.
Spartan chatter gives you map call outs too when your team’s spartans see them - which is kind of nice. But you have to know the call out on the map. You can see them near your radar when you are near that area. Not perfect - but it’s probably the most helpful part of spartan chatter.
its a poor replacement for people that dont use mics/parties
i turn them off because it confuses me and my team since we have slight variations of call outs
