I’ve been wondering since launch, and it seems there is still no answer.
The laser sight slightly reduces bloom on the AR and SMG, but the BR and DMR don’t have bloom. Long barrel is the one that improves magnetism, so that’s out of the question. What other aspects of “accuracy” could the laser sight even affect on the BR and DMR? I don’t think they even have spread, and if they do it’s so minor that you wouldn’t notice a difference.
What do lasers do? Um, they look cool?
It makes you look cool. Seriously though, I think it’s more of a cosmetic aspect to the weapons.
edit: lol, it seems DaffierPuppet9 and I are on the same page.
It looks cool. The description may say what it supposed to do.
The laser sight increases Aim Assist on all weapons. Only slightly, however.

No, that’s what the long barrel does, as I said in the OP.

And that’s stupid, because why would you use something cosmetic when everything else has a gameplay effect? It also makes you have a bright, shiny red glare on your weapon that can be seen from miles.

It was probably an oversight type issue. Or something. Or maybe 343i wanted Warzone to be a rave party with lasers and discos?
I think it helps with spread when you hip/ Aim assist when hip firing

Bullet Magnetism is different from Reticule Stickiness.
Laser sight=bullet magnetism increase
Long barrel=effective at an increased range

I was talking about aim magnetism, which is synonymous with your “reticle stickiness”.

This.

Bullet Magnetism is basically how a Needler functions; Reticule Stickiness is the resistance to movement of a reticule while aimed at an enemy.

This. End of story.
I was also curious about the difference between these two… interesting.

Yes, I know…
I wasn’t talking about bullet magnetism. I said aim magnetism.

Yeah, I think that summed it up pretty well. I’m still wondering what kind of effect that will really have on a DMR or BR, though - as in whether it would add magnetism to bullets fired at enemies who are inside your reticle, but way outside your effective range (sticky red reticle).

“Effective at an increased range” is just repeating the vague in-game description.
What it actually does is lengthen the red reticle range, thereby increasing aim magnetism at all ranges.
I haven’t seen any evidence that laser sight increases bullet magnetism. All I know for fact is that it reduces bloom.

No Long Barrel increases range… Laser Sight increase magnetism
