If this truly is all the multiplayer content for the foreseeable future, does anyone really have faith in 343 anymore?
What does the future hold for 343 if this is the full multiplayer content being released for a while
6 months before any major content due to delays. custom games will probably be delayed until after forge which is +12 months at the earliest for those classic custom games we know and love.
I hope we do get some kind of content like playable Elites, seeing how the elites in the campaign have armor similar to reach, it would be cool to be able to play them again.

I’ve heard/seen people having problems with customs and doesn’t work very well.
I haven’t tried, but there’s enough evidence I’ve seen that it’s an issue.

Maybe, but from what I’ve seen, this will be it. Maps, weapons, customizations, that’s it
I mean custom games like castle wars, escape, ghosts, and what not.
A few forum goers keep saying that, but I’ve seen no evidence from 343 that backs up their claims. Campaign cosmetic unlocks are all that have been explicitly confirmed as far as additional launch content.

The only things that have been confirmed as being representative of the full release content are maps, core game modes, battlepass content and the academy feature, that leaves a lot in the air. What may or may not be available at retail launch on 12/8 is very speculative, but I’d expect playlists to be rounded out and given some structure, which will increase the map rotation as the currently available map count isn’t as outside of launch norm as people keep claiming.
Ultimately if the game still feels lean on content at retail, even if you bought the battlepass you’re only out 10 bucks, really not gonna break anyone.
